Should I be upset at him? Is he being cheap?
I don’t know my boyfriends salary- but I know that he 100% makes over 200k.
We never go anywhere bc of Covid - so, he doesn’t really spend any money on me. HOWEVER, I see him 2-3 times a week and he ALWAYS buys me lunch and dinner- so, I guess that counts.
Anyways, my bday is coming up and he wants to take me to a vacation house. I found a super dope one with a movie theater, game room, jacuzzi, and awesome view for $1.6k for two nights. He said that’s too expensive. He found a place that looks like TRASH in comparison to the one I sent for $1.1k for three nights. I told him it’s a $500 difference and we might as well go with the gorgeous one. He wouldn’t budge and he said he already told me his limit
1) why the heck am I out here looking for places when it’s MY bday. Shouldn’t he be surprising mee?? I didn’t even want to look in the first place. It’s my bday lol
2) is $500 really that big of a deal? He’s making over $200k. Honestly, my GUESSTIMATE is that he makes $400k-500k. But it’s purely a guess. Even if I made $200k I would have EASILY paid $500 more for the stunning one
Am I being dramatic?
Foofa...choosing your answer as the best because I offered to pay part of it myself yet he still wouldn’t budge bc he refused to have me use any of my money. I offered 5 times. He says no and that we have to pick a different place. We made up now and everything is fine. Thanks

"Dramatic" and greedy. If you want nicer things agree to pay half for them. In some cities 200K doesn't necessarily leave someone with a ton of disposable income, especially if they they own a house. Could be the reason he earns well and you don't is because he's smarter than you are and sees the waste in dumping a ton of money on what basically amounts to a weekend. Offer to pay the difference yourself if you want the more expensive house. This is how actual couples that don't involve a gold digger function.

You're really full of yourself, aren't you? If you don't like your boyfriend's choice, then pay for the more expensive place yourself. And maybe give him a break and go alone so he doesn't have to hear you complaining like a baby.

Nice trolling attempt. Not sure if you are an incel, feeding the incels, or just a bored immature kid (who should be more productive with his/her life instead of writing lengthy troll posts on a site that's about to close down).
But okay, assuming this is a legit question: Yes, you are being a dramatic little gold digger.

This has got to be a troll. No guy making well over $200K would put up with a girl like this. Certainly not long enough to celebrate her b-day...
