Yes.  In a word, yes.  And no, I am not going to do the whole "But I'm not a racist" thing because I'm tired of that and I don't have to.

But I do wish we would stop classifying and dividing ourselves by race.  The only reason why we do it is because the Communists tell us to.

(Sorry, people.  I deal in reality and not politics, so my words will be a little different than what most of you are used to)

Honestly I don't think anyone is allowed to speak their mind about anything anymore.  It's a sad time.  I heard of something called "micro aggression" the other day and from what it sounded like to me was one can no longer say ANYTHING without it somehow being "harmful" to another.  I miss the days of Archie Bunker and the Jeffersons where everyone was allowed to have an opinion be it right or wrong.....sigh.

No. Its ok to be proud of your heritage, whether Polish, Irish, German  etc....and the history of your people.  If you go around saying you are proud to be white, it smacks of racism.  Better yet, why not be proud of yourself as a person and who you are and your achievements and accomplishment and your character, and all the good you do in this world.  That would really be the best yet.

Each moment of our life, each second we make decisions that impact our lives and the world. Why not dwell on positive and good thoughts as opposed to evil thoughts?  Why not think thoughts that bring you closer to a Jesus Christ or a Ghandi instead of thoughts that make you more kin to Hitler?

I don't see a point in being proud of something you have no control over. Succeeding in spite of something you have no control over -- that's something to be proud of.

Some would argue that there's no reason to be proud of some random genetic trait over which one had no control. Sort of like being "proud" of being left handed or having size nine feet. Those same people might agree that pride should only come from one's accomplishments and not from some accident of birth that made their skin one tone or another.

Well it's not like you can CHANGE your genetics...

I think it's okay as long as you don't do things to HURT others or try to advance yourself just becauase of something other's have had no control over. That's the difference between being a bad selfish person who tries to take advantage of others and those who are empathetic and are out to change the world (improve it) in a good way. Make it a better, more peaceful and open minded world!

Manx people have short stubby tails.  And the Spanish are mostly descended from Moors and Jews and other peoples who originated in the orient.

usually people with productive lives don't waste their time thinking about things like that

I think pride should be reserved for things you've accomplished, not things you've inherited.
