If what Chauvin did was accidental and unintentional, should we come down harder on everyone for such white and black?

He was probably just trying to choke him out..but that's beside the point.
What Chauvin did was Voluntary Manslaughter.
If cops are trained, though..and he knew anything at all about chokes, if you get into the two minute area you're heading for the brain damage/death zone.
If you're a cop..you have a responsibility to the community you serve..even those that you need to take into custody.
A lot of whites have a problem seeing that *anyone* can be killed in an encounter with the police if it goes wrong.
A lot of the BLM advocates have trouble seeing that this doesn't only happen to minorities.
A lot of cops are probably thinking "What about us? We have the most dangerous job in the country!"
Everyone needs to sit down and consider everyone else's Right to Live..and realize that the status quo in Law Enforcement is no longer an option.

IF Chauvin ACCIDENTALLY killed Floyd - well, an accident isn't a crime. I'm not saying it WAS an accident. I'm still watching the trial.
I think, in any case, we should come down hard on any News Media and politicians that rushed to judgment.

Chauvin's actions were intentional.
Maybe the resulting death wasn't intentional, but his decision to do what he did most definitely was intentional.
ETA: The First Dragon....of course accidents are sometimes crimes especially if the accident was caused by negligence. What planet are you on? You think running over a pedestrian with your car isn't a crime because it was an accident?
As far as "homocide" goes, that term simply means one person died as a result of the actions of another person. A homocide may or may not be a crime.

It wasn't. The medical examiner testified Floyd's death is a homicide.

You don't 'accidentally' smile at the camera and remain there 3 minutes after the person is clearly dead. A paramedic on the scene was vocally begging the cop to get off George Floyd for Christ sake.
