Why isn't there a religion that prioritizes colonizing underpopulated locations?
The western great plains and northern rockies are underpopulated. As are Africa, Australia, and Canada. Perhaps the most underpopulated is Mars. Both Mars and Australia have enormous quantities of water underground. Mars also has a lot of water in the polar regions. Why isn't there a religion centered around colonizing these places?

St. Therese of Lisieux is the patron saint of missionaries. She has promised to spend her heaven doing good in this world. She visited the pope and asked his special permission to enter a Carmelite convent at only age 15, and the pope did give this permission. St. Therese died at a young age, still in her 20s, though she devoted her days in the convent to prayer and penance in support of the missions. She is called the Little Flower and St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face.

Things happen in a certain order. Before such a religion can come about, there needs to be a restaurant that prioritizes supplying children with staplers.
Meanwhile, solar stills can convert ocean water to make it drinkable.
