    A different approach ( that gets to the same point) impulse = change in momentum.

    F * t = m dv -> F = m dv/t = 60 *2.5/3 = 50 N

    a = (Vf-Vi)/t = (6.5-4)/3 = 5/6 of m/sec^2

    F = m*a = 60*5/6 = 50 N
