Mom? diet? food?

I have a weird issue but it’s gotten out of hand.

I live with my mom and i’m about to move out but i’m 17.

Both of us gained weight during quarentine. Me, just 15 pounds (female), however my mom is VERY OVERWEIGHT. She is so ignorant and in denial about everything.

She’ll say she’ll workout and eat healthy and never does. So how is it my business? This is why:

I try to workout. i’m trying to get bad to my old body. I’ve begged her to buy healthy stuff from the grocery store and she says she will and makes excuses and never does.

Sexondly, the biggest issue, she buys fastfood 5-6 days a week. That’s her problem, however i told her i do not have self control if u put it infront of me, yet she still buys a whole *** meal for me everutime anyways, disrespecting my requests and i feel like she’s pulling me down with her. I’ve told her i’m so sick of her doing that and i want to lose weight so STOP getting me meals and then she just says “i’ll just throw it away” every single time.

How do i get this issue across to her? I just screamed at her because of it bexause idk how else to get it across

Have you grown taller.  As a female maybe not....

However, just to be sure, a lot of young people don't realize that when you grow taller, unless you still had "baby fat", you need to gain weight.

When she goes to these restaurants, tell her what you want her to order for you.

A hamburger patty from McDs is not unhealthy.  It's only 90 calories.

A hamburger patty from McDs with ketchup, mayo, secret sauce, cheese and the bun = IS.

So when she brings you food, that you need to eat because you can't lose weight without having protein, figure out what stays and what goes.

Also, you are 17 not 5.  Ask to do the grocery shopping or go with your mom, if you want specific food.
