Do these sentences mean the same thing?

A. She looked him straight in the face.

B. She looked him straight in the eye.

C. She looked him straight in the eyes.

    B and C are certainly the same.

    A sounds very odd to me. I have never heard anyone say that they looked someone in the face.

    Look someone "in the eye" is what we say.
