if you collect marvel, xmen, or other large super hero franchises, how do you sort them in your overall collection?

for instance, do you still put captain america trilogy in the C's, Iron Man in the I's, etc?  the avengers in the A's?

i put them in release in the M's as the MCU collection mixed in the middle of my overall collection.

how do you do it?

or how do you organize your movie collection overall?  everything for me is alphabetical

Update:

why do you still have vhs tapes

I have way too many movies to do that. What I preferred instead was bunching them up by genre or by actor.

Im pretty quick searching for a movie though even with stacks and shelves holding several rows either stacked, and in front of each other. I will grab like 20 at a time to learn forward to read the row behind them.

I've got like 2,000 movies at least not including tv shows between me and my wife. Maybe more. So thousands lol.

VHS laser disc dvd and blue ray.

I like to put most watched or new released in the front. A favorites section, and as I said a few by genre or actor.

I dont have time to alphabetize.

The only thing I put in exact order are my star trek episodes.

But 007 are all together, box sets, 2 tape movies, Arnold, Stalone, westerns, science fi, clint Eastwood, Travolta, mafia movies. Otherwise it's all random.

I did decided to put every tv series together though gonna separate shelf. Lots of dvd box sets or single dvds.

    Blue Ray's are separate.

VHS is not with the dvds or on the same tv.

My room looks like a hoarders, my movies and comics are not organized. But most of my movies are more or less grouped by when I got them, if I bought 4 in one day they're usually placed together. In some cases I have certain groupings, like horror movies pile or tarantino/Rodriguez pile, and those piles are often organized by which i want to watch most on top.
