What territory did America purchase from Russia in 1867?

Prints and Photographs Division. On March 30, 1867, the United States reached an agreement to purchase Alaska from Russia for a price of $7.2 million. The Treaty with Russia was negotiated and signed by Secretary of State William Seward and Russian Minister to the United States Edouard de Stoeckl.

Alaska then we kicked them out of Northern California

Alaska, as you know. Called Seward's folly at the time.  Interesting to see the TD's on correct answers.

I think that was Alaska but when you think about it, it wasn't there's to sell in the first place as it is a part of the North American Continent...
