It has been proven for decades that a baby aspirin a day will prevent strokes and heart attacks.
I have been doing that for decades and unlike 90% of people my age, i need ZERO meds

You shouldn't start an aspirin regimen without consulting a doctor. And an aspirin alone is not going to fix anything. Early on heart disease can be reversed if you're willing to change your lifestyle. That means eating a heart-healthy diet (cut out the processed foods, refined sugar, salt, fried foods and most breads) and limit to healthy choices with mostly fresh vegetables on your plate. Eat smaller meals and exercise (enough to get your heart pumping for at least 15 minute spurts) either 35-45 minutes/day in one go or three 15 minutes spurts. Keep yourself at a healthy weight. If you smoke, you have to quit. If you drink, you have to quit. Water, coffee or tea (no sugar or sugar substitute) are the only things you should drink. If you have health insurance, a lot of companies have resources available for you since it's cheaper to give you advice than you needing to be on thousands of dollars worth of medication a year while you take 3-10 years to die and have a pretty low quality of life while you wait. You can change. You just have to make some really tough life choices to choose life. Every small change you make adds up. If you have insurance, get a well-care check. Those are usually included free in US healthcare. Find out how bad your cholesterol/lipids and A1C is. It may help to see a nutritionist too but there are so many resources available online. As someone that watched a parent die of this, it's not a pretty thing. There were 20 pills a day and at the end, they were not helping keep the fluid out of the legs or lungs. It is a terrible way to go and one that is 100% within your power to change if you have the will to do so.
