Did he do the right thing?

My old high school classmate saw me in the neighborhood and we fooled around a bit. Yes, he used me for his personal benefit but he did not lead me on or play with my emotions. He was honest and told me, "I don't like you at all or anything. It's just sex I want, that's it." Was this better than him leading me on and telling me he liked me when he didn't?

The truly right thing would probably have been to just leave you alone. But at least he was honest.

While the delivery of his feelings was questionable, at least he was honest.  Perhaps you should worry more about why you agreed to a "one night stand" under those conditions.

It is never acceptable to tell someone they you don't like them at all, in fact it is mean.  Plus while he may be honest that he wasn't looking for anything but sex, that doesn't mean the other person feels the same way thus impossible to say if it was acceptable.

I am also not a fool.  Your entire question is an effort to seek approval from someone, and will do so by anyone who agrees with you rather than giving your question some thought and an honest answer.
