They're clearly not willing to give it decent moderation or updating, so they may as well take it down, to be honest. I wouldn't have minded them trying to fix the place up, since it is quite a big part of internet history, but I doubt that they care about that as much as us.

It makes more sense to cancel their service since spamming is illegal, it's a form of terrorism and interferes with basic communications...

Hitting them in the wallet is about the only real power you have over them...

I don't think it is worth saving unless Verizon Media promises to try to make it a decent site. I may be wronging them, but from all indications they have made at most just a feeble attempt to do that. It's become a haven for trolls and hate speech.
