What is the current most updated coding language to learn for 2021-2022?

I’m interested in being a software developer and I know theirs a lot of different coding languages I just don’t want to waste my time learning an out of date coding language. If you can recommend anything I’d greatly appreciate it I’m trying to start a career in this

Don't sell old programming languages short. When you get a job as a software developer, your boss's boss will be reluctant to change languages every few years, based on what is newest. When you are ready to enter the job market, you might  find there are more job openings in an older language than in the latest language.

Take a look at the TIOBE index: C and Java have been competing for the top position for 19 years. And C became popular between 30 and 40 years ago.

I recommend you take a course in assembler. In your career, you probably will never use assembler. But, learning it gives you a better feel how a computer works.

[Some loser gave me a TD.  Since that loser didn't provide an alternate answer, it's assumed that the loser is the OP.  This is why this site is shutting down -- all the questions are asked by losers.]

You SHOULD learn an out-of-date programming language.  BUT do NOT learn a coding language.

The most important thing for you to learn is that programming languages do NOTHING without a computer (hardware).  The hardware has specific abilities that are built into the device.  The software cannot make the hardware do anything that it wasn't built to do (but, keep in mind that devices CAN be plugged into the computer and those devices will have additional abilities.)

Now, immediately pick a programming language to learn -- DON'T THINK ABOUT IT!

You have 5 mins.  If you haven't posted your choice by then, then you are a loser who should pick a different career.
