Alexander Ma, a CIA agent, has been charged with espionage for spying for china over 2 decades and selling highly classified national defense and national security information to Chinese officials. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted on all charges. If he cooperates can he avoid spending the rest of his life in prison? Isn't there statute of limitations on spying?
