Why is liberal yahoo so cowardly and afraid to just leave up answers in read only so everything can still be used on google and yahoo search?
Plenty of useful information since say 1.
Are they that terrified of right wing influence? Or different opinions, facts, truths, and sources?
How about the selfishness and stupidity of it all being people often find yahoo answers posts in Google searches instead of ask.com or reddit.

Yahoo Answers has largely become a write-only forum. And with so many users posting rubbish, I doubt that many people come here to look for answers anymore.

On average, how many questions are posted each day? And back in its prime? If every question has a page and there are 16 years of it... that is probably a massive amount of data and cost to run those server(s) that house it, even in read-only.
You could always search via Google and see if the cached option is there to view a page. Or try the Wayback Machine for specific links. Those aren't the most convenient options, but they exist.
