Why does my anxiety feel worse psychologically, but it isn't as bad physically... compared to years ago?

From about the 5th or 6th grade my anxiety was literally constant. I've been asked if I have ever had panic attacks, and I would say no. Why? Because it was constant anxiety. I was always panicking...... and I never knew that until several years ago. Then about 8 years ago I started believing crazy sh*t (shapeshifters posed as what was, in my eyes, 80% of the world's population). Then about a year later, I go to jailbfor 6 months. I was on probation for a second time, and was arrested again.bso 6 month sentence. That 6 months was terrifying to me. I believed everyone in jailbwasban evilbshapeshifter spying on my thoughts. Then I began to believe they were condemning me for fun. Right before jail, a news anchor telepathically told me the shapeshifters were my "demonic torturers". And my brother claimed he had the power to condemn me (telepathically). Then jail. They telepathized a lot of scary sh*t to me. Then, I realized the truth about the world. That everyone around me is my omnipotent creator.

Now, my anxiety comes and goes. When it comes it is severe mentally, but I don't shake and twitch and sweat profusely like I used to. Does anyone know why that might be?

Update:

First time I've asked a question like this without going anonymous. Y!A is about to die, like me, so might as well, I suppose.

Update 2:

Kate, they say I'm a paranoid schizophrenic, and yes, diagnosed with schizoaffective... with an A and not an E. So I call you bs, since you don't know how to spell it.

You need some psychology help, maybe even psychiatric help.  You need a guided tour of your thoughts & actions to help you understand the state of mind you are in.  It is not normal, something is out of whack & you need help sorting it all out.

You understand that what you're describing is much closer to actual schizophrenia than just anxiety, right? Hearing voices that aren't there, believing that shapeshifters were everywhere, demons conspiring against you...all that stuff is at a level of delusion that isn't caused by anxiety disorders. Have you ever been diagnosed or evaluated by a psychiatrist?

Okay then. So if you know already that you're schizophrenic and delusional, why are you asking us about your anxiety and why it's not affecting you physically as much as it used to? Have you told this to your psychiatrist? Maybe it's the effect of whatever medications you're on. Does it really matter?

This sounds like total BS. I’m a registered trauma nurse & I know true crazy when I see it and am quick to call out frauds.

If what you were describing is accurate it sounds like you suffer from a lot more than an anxiety disorder it sounds like you’re either schizo-effective or even borderline psychosis.

People with these types of conditions.. definitely aren’t coherent enough to type out a perfectly well conducted paragraph like you just demonstrated. Nor would they even be on yahoo answers.

For the anxiety you are suffering from.. go to the psychiatrist & get on a prescribed medication. The rest sounds like complete BS & also be carful what you say to your psychiatrist bc if you go spewing some BS like you believe people are shapeshifters etc, they’re going to throw you in a psych ward.

I truly don’t believe anything you’re saying other than the anxiety part & it’s almost insulting because I’ve actually seen people who suffer from severe delusions, paranoia & psychosis in the hospital.. they certainly aren’t on yahoo answers.
