Blue Cheer invented metal not Black Sabbath.

    The Rock was invented by  Ata Johnson and former professional wrestler Rocky Johnson.

    Steppenwolf were the first ones to mention heavy metal, so they invented it.

    Nobody "invented" metal.  It evolved out of rock and the dividing line is not clear.  There were many bands that influenced the genre.
