why is it so hard to say thank you?

i always feel bad for not saying thank you but i rarely do it cause when i say it my parents go "oh she actually said thank you this time, there must be something wrong!"

    Then you say to your parents..."Oh? You said something was wrong with you?  What's wrong?  Tell me, maybe I can help you.  You seem miserable."

    Don't let your parent's sarcasm deter you.

    They are mean-spirited, but that's not your fault and you cannot change them.

    if you start to say it often enough, most-likely they will stop reacting with sarcasm.
