A 1500.0 gram piece of wood with a specific heat capacity of 1.8 g/JxC absorbs 67,500 Joules of heat.?
If the final temperature of the wood is 57C, what is the initial temperature of the wood? (2 sig figs)
so i put the picture and the question because people didn't believe me when i said the answer wasn't 82. Thank you guys for trying though.

57°C is the FINAL temp after adding heat. try again..
.. Q = m Cp dT = m Cp (Tf - Ti)
.. Ti = Tf - Q/(m Cp)
.. Ti = 57°C - 67500J / (1500.0g * 1.8 J/g°C) = what?
thumbs down eh? hmm..
