Does belonging to a historically marginalized group during a time of hyper-sensitivity to their plight result in unwarranted privilege?

"Does belonging to a historically marginalized group during a time of hyper-sensitivity to their plight result in unwarranted privilege?"

It does according to the people of today that have hopped onto critical theory identity politics.  That idea is that people are culpable by large groups, like race, or sex for example rather than being individually accountable for their own actions.  And there is no redemption either, other than to advocate for privileges and benefits to the previously marginalized groups, even when the current people from those group have never experienced any such marginalization during their entire lives.

There's the strange part.  Rather than just getting on with it, they go out of their way to seek victims by group identity.  But this victim culture only accepts certain groups.  It is not very diverse that way.  But the reality is, if we all played the victim game, every race and every identity has been marginalized at some point in history.   And even the special groups that critical theory advocates for today for their previous marginalization, would have marginalized some other group in their past.  And where is their voice??  Lost in critical theory purgatory.  It's all nonsense.

In every known case that is true.  It is so bad that it is dangerous to speak against it.  Try condemning Israel's continual expansion into Palestine and see how far you get.  The holocaust has been a get out of gaol free card.

    That is the current trend.
