Algebra help please?

One of the rooms on a cleaning crew's schedule has a width four feet less than the length and has a area of 192 square feet. What are the dimensions of the room?

Write a quadratic equation in standard form to model the situation. Let h represent the length.

Solve the equation. Find the dimensions of the room.

    W = l - 4

    L(l - 4) = 192

    Ll - 4l - 192 = 0

    (L + 12)(l - 16) = 0

    L = -12, 16

    Since length can’t be negative, it’s 16. W = 16 - 4 = 12.

    Room is 12 ft x 16 ft.

    Substitute h for l in the equation. I don’t feel like editing it.
