  • Questions about the LEEP procedure for precancerous cells in cervix?

I'm having the LEEP procedure done tomorrow morning at 7am. My dr explained everything, but yesterday I unexpectedly started spotting (I believe its just my body adjusting to birth control I started a few weeks ago, I had a baby in May) So my question was does anyone know if it is ok to be spotting/bleeding before going in for the LEEP procedure. I won't be able to ask my dr before going in tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

  • Anyone one else close to delivery...?

start getting really bad acne? I'm 37 weeks, having a c-section June 1, and the last few weeks have horrible skin. This is my second baby, both boys, and I've always had perfect skin...no acne problems at all. I'm not going to use any chemicals to try to clear it, just keep using my normal routine, but I was just wondering if any others out there experienced this.

  • Almost 8 weeks pregnant and having bad marital problems, someone help!?

I know this is long, but i need a lot of help, and i'm really emotional right now and can't think straight. My husband and I have been together for almost 8 years, married for almost 5. We're young, i'm 23 he just turned 25. We have a wonderful 3 1/2 year old son, and just found out a few weeks ago that I'm pregnant again. Since I found out, he's been really mean and stand offish. We havent had sex since I found out and he barely talks to me. He never showed any of this behavior before. So Saturday I went to kiss him and he made a wierd face and wouldn't kiss me back, it made me mad and we kind of got into an arguement and he suggested that we seperate for now. This came as a total shock to me because I thought we were pretty happy, but now he says he's been thinking about this for a while. How are we supposed to seperate when I'm pregnant right now? He is going to the dr. tomorrow to get on antidepressant, which he's been on before but he's not on now, and I made an appointment with a marriage councellor on Wednesday. Any one ever been in this situation? Anyone have any advice? What am I doing wrong? I love him and don't want to lose him, but I am really at a loss for what to do.

  • How to get rid of gecko/salamanders?

I'm not exactly sure what they are. Little pink lizards with light grey spots. They are all over the outside of our house, which is fine, but now they have begun to get in the house. We spot at least 2-3 inside every night, mostly in the bathroom. I know they are good for eating bugs and what not, and I don't want to kill them, just wondering if anyone knows how to keep them out of the house.

  • Anyone who has had chemo for colon cancer please help?

My friend was diagnosed with colon cancer about 6 weeks ago, he's only 45. He had emergency surgery to remove the tumor and just started chemo this past Wednesday. When I saw him on wed. he was pretty ok, but he has progressively gotten more and more sick the last 5 days. He can hardly move without vomiting. His chemo is every other Wed-Fri, 3 continuous days through an iv pump. I don't know how far advanced the cancer is (he won't tell me) but he has to go through chemo for 6 months. After the chemo they gave him a 50/50 chance. Will he always be this sick through the chemo or will he get more used to it? Does the first treatment usually have such severe side effects, or does it vary? Any info on colon cancer, chemo, and chemo side effects would be greatly appreciated.

  • Lump on my puppies paw?

I have a 3 month old white shnauzer, and just noticed about a week ago a small lump on the top/side of his right paw. It's about the size and color of a red skittle. It's not very hard, but not squishy either. We took him to a vet who thought he might have gotton a sticker in it or gotton bit by something and suggested we wait a few months to see if it gets bigger. Anyone had a similar experience? Should we take him to get another opinion or just do as the first vet said and wait? It doesn't seem to be bothering him, he doesn't lick at it or limp. Any advice?

  • A few questions about natural birth/water births?

My hubby and I are TTC, and are very interested in a natural birth outside of a hospital (possibly at a birthing clinic). I had a high risk pregnancy w/my first (toxemia), and ended up on bed rest at 33 weeks, induced at 38, and after 20 some odd hours in labor had a c-section. Has anyone here ever had a natural or water VBAC? Can I be cared for by a midwife and by my regular OB/GYN? I'd like both in case something happens where I am unable to have a natural birth. I'd also like at least one sonogram to determine gender, are there midwives who can do sonograms, or is that only with an OB/GYN? Any info anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
