  • How long does it take for fibroids to shrink after pregnancy?

I just delivered my beautiful baby boy a few weeks ago via c-section.

During my pregnancy I had 3 fibroids , one the size of a large grapefruit , one the size of an orange and the other near my cervix (which is the reason for the c-section)

Its been over 3 weeks now - I have lost all my pregnancy weight and then some but I still have a belly (looking like I am about 3-4 months pregnant) . I can see that my left side of my stomach (where my large fibroid is) is still sticking out more than my right side.

My question is, how long does it take for fibroids to shrink down after pregnancy????

  • Pregnant with fibroids?

    Hi there,

I am happily 10 weeks , pregnant with my first.

At my first ultrasound last week my doctor informed me that one of my fibroids that I had prior to pregnancy at 5.5cm has grown to 9cm. My fibroids are on the outside wall of my uterus.

She said there is a higher risk of miscarriage with fibroids and also a possibility of pain later on in the pregnancy and premature labor.

I know there is nothing I can do at this point about the fibroids, but am quite paranoid that I will either lose this baby or delivery too early.

Has anyone out there had a sucessful healthy pregnancy and baby with having fibroids, and if so, how big were yours and did they hurt the baby in any way?

    Any input would be great.

  • OPK positive for 2 days , do you think I missed the window?

I took a OPK on day 11 (friday at 11am) and it came up positive. I was feeling slight ovulation pain that night....making me think that I was in fact ovulating that night...Unfortunately poor DH was sick as a dog so there was no BDing going on on friday night. On Saturday morning (day 12) we did BD, and when I testing with a 2nd OPK it also came up postiive.

I am worried that we might have missed the window with only Bding on SAT am instead of the night before.

Would an OPK still come up positve after ovulation has completed?

ps. there was a slight temperature rise (97.6) on sat but more of a rise on sun (97.9)

  • Newly pregnant and paranoid?

I just found out I am pregnant. I am 5 weeks today. I am so scared of possibly having a miscarriage.

My question is: For the most part my symptoms have been generally sore bbs, feeling flush and sometime feeling lightheaded.

Today my sore bbs are feeling normal....and I am worried that my lack of symptom(s) might be a sign that something might go wrong...

  • temperature dip then spike. How long do I have?

My chart indicated that I had a temperature dip on Day 13 (am) and then a spike on day 14 (am). We BDd on day 13 PM and the next night? Did we miss the boat? or does the temperature dip mean that I was going to be ovulating that day?

  • Ovulation pain - timing when trying to conceive?

I am having ovulation pain today - I know that the best time to conceive is usually 1-3 PRIOR to ovulation.

My question is - if today is the day I feel ovulation pains is it too late to have intercourse.... have we already missed the boat (so to speak)?

  • Cervical Mucus - predicting the best time to try to get pregnant?

I have now the slippery clear mucus that I have read indicates ovulation. It is the first day this month that I have seen it - does that mean ovulation has already occurred or that it will be occurring within the next 2 days?
