Will a .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge fit in a Rem 700 long action?
I am enrolled in Trinidad State Junior College Gunsmithing school and next semester we will be blueprinting the action and re-chambering them in whatever we so choose. I would love to do it in .338 Lapua Mag, but some people I have talked to and articles i have read, state that it only fits in custom actions. I am just wondering if .081" longer length of the Lapua versus the Rem Ultra Mag would make it too long to fit?
