  • Do you think it would be worth it to retake the GREs?

    My scores are as followed

    Verbal:164

    Quantitative: 156

    Writing: 4

I'm trying to get into a finance program. I'm not too happy about the writing section, but I feel that standardized writing is kind of B.S. anyways.

  • what social issue concerns you the most? Why?

  • How do I become passionate about something?

My life feels dull. Nothing really excites me. I have friends who love to draw, exercise, make things or generally do things. I don't. Even things I like I get annoyed with after a few days. Nothing I start I finish. I have even realized that there is nothing that makes me excited to get out of bed in the morning. It drives me crazy?

How do you find your passion in life?

  • What should I get my Brother?

I need a birthday present for my brother. He's turning 25 and is at graduate school getting a PHD in physics. He also plays the guitar avidly. He's not a typical guy who is into overly macho things and has a slightly geekier mind set. However, I cannot get him something sentimental.

    Any ideas?

  • Is law school worth it?

Right now, I am serious thinking of going to law school. However, I do not know if it would rewarding. Right now I'm an economics major and I like the logical side of it. Will I see this in law?

  • What did you do with your economics degree?

I am currently a junior in college and an economics major. Even though I have time before I graduate, I am still panicking over the fact that I have no clue about what I want to do when I graduate. All I know is that I don't want a job where I am in a cubical for 9 hours a day.

I kind of want to go to graduate school, yet I have no clue what area I want to study. I also really don't think I'd like to get an MBA. However, I'm afraid that if work before grad school, I'll get into a rut where I'll never go. The truth is, I don't even know if I have a high enough GPA to get into a grad school. (3.2)

So, I'm asking for stories about what people did after college and what they did with their degree. So, what did you do with your economics degree?

  • Waxing, Shaving or Creams?

  • Tampon hurting when removed?

It is kinda embarrassing, but I admit that even though I am twenty, I have only used a tampon a couple times in my life. One of the reasons for this is the fact that they are rather painful to me.

I have never had a problem inserting a tampon. I always hear stories about how it can hurt when you insert a tampon for the first time. I've never had this. The problem is removing them. It doesn't just hurt, it stings. However, I have never heard anyone mention any pain when removing a tampon.

Is this normal? Will it go away if I use tampons more often?

  • Home remedy for mosquito bites?

I was stupid and wore sandals, and my feet got bit really really badly. I mean, multiple bites per foot. I don't think I'll be able to fall asleep and it is too late to go to a drug store to buy cortisone cream. Is there anything I can use to at least make the itching stop for at least a little bit so I can sleep? Specifically things you can find in a normal dorm room?

  • Can anyone tell me about their grad school application experiance?

I am a junior at a university and am thinking about graduate school. I just want to hear other people's experiences and what they had to do to get in, such as, GPA, work experience and whether or not they applied for a PhD program.

  • How do I cure dandruff while keeping my hair from drying out?

I have extremely fry curly hair. Its so dry that if I wash my hair more than once or twice a week, it becomes damaged. Even after a week, my hair doesn't get oily. Yes, I use conditioner.

However, I am studying abroad this semester and the change in climate has made my scald extra itchy and drandruffy. (I'm not sure that's a word, but I'll go with it.) Normally I have a little dandruff but, it was manageable.

The thing is, most dandruff shampoos say that your hair needs to be washed with it everyday to get rid of dandruff. I can't do that without destroying my hair. Is there any way around this? Will Head and Shoulders still work if I only use it once a week?

Also, will using a non-dandruff conditioner after shampooing make the shampoo less effective?

  • Whats the best way to deal with a cold sore?

I've been getting them since I was little. They are painful and unsightly. In your experience, what's the best way to take care of them so that they can heal faster? Is there a way to lessen the pain?

  • How do I put on lipstick when I have a cold sore?

So, I have one of those painful cold sores at the corner of my mouth. (I've been getting them since I was very little.) Whenever I try to put on lipstick, my cold sore seems more visible. Either that or it looks like I smeared my makeup and I look slightly like the Joker.

Is this a losing battle? Should I just go without until after it heals?

Concealer doesn't work for some reason..

  • Christmas present for my brother?

I need help finding a Christmas present for my older brother. He is 24 and a graduate student, so he doesn't have time for any type of game or toys. Also, he explicitly told me that he doesn't need any new t-shirts. Any ideas?
