I am trying to record some music in Audacity and I like to have a metronome playing through my headset. However my headset has a microphone on the cord and when it is plugged in it activates that microphone and disables the built-in computer mic. I want to use the computer microphone so that it hears my guitar/voice equally.

If I right click the sounds settings and and go to recording devices, the only option is the Realtek HD audio. This is on a brand new Samsung Windows 8.1 laptop. I know I could get headphones without a mic but it seems silly that this isn't an option.

I don't want to have to think about it, I just want to go up to the bar and order my drink, every time, and like it. I don't want it to be rum and coke or gin and tonic. Something classy, like an old fashioned, but not an old fashioned. Gotta be pretty badass, but not like macho douchebag, just legit. So people are all, this guy knows what he's doing. And obviously beer is the best answer, but that's not what I'm looking for.

It is kind of a funny video with a guy that kinda looks like ?uestlove wearing a red flannel shirt walking down the streets of brooklyn or something. Kinda along the lines of das racist kind of music. Can't find the video for the life of me. NOT chiddy bang or Big Head Todd.

I just heard it and forgot the exact lyrics but it sounds a lot like Justice - D.A.N.C.E and it is mostly a woman singing, but then a man comes in and is singing about dancing or something and says something about ice cream. Terrible description but I think it's a relatively contemporary song.

Any ingeniously scientific ways to cut an ice cube right down the middle simply and efficiently. I need smaller ice cubes and sawing them and smashing them is tedious. I'm thinking like, some kind of crazy thing the Mayans used to cut blocks of stone for pyramids. Or something. Let's brainstorm people, it is CRITICAL that I solve this earth shattering problem.

PS - The answer is not "get a smaller ice cube tray" or " use crushed ice". I want perfect ice cube halves, from my current ice cube trays.

I very much fancy drinking a hot beverage while surfing the interwebs which makes use of the keyboard quite bothersome. Any recommendations for fun, addicting little games that only use the mouse? (I typed this with one hand)

Using ableton live or audacity, how do you eliminate as much of the background music as possible in order to have just the vocal track? I am NOT asking how to remove the vocals.

I was walking around Philadelphia today and saw a large battleship docked on the New Jersey side of the river and was wondering if anybody knew what ship this might have been?

I'm coming off my first year in college and have four months off free time this summer and would like to improve my physique. I am male, 19, 5'8'' and about 130 pounds. I've always just been a very skinny guy but not out of shape, I bike a lot and don't get out of breath too easily. I would like to beef up my upper body strength, preferably with minimal weight lifting (I do have a bench press though) and definitely no gym membership (but I do have unlimited access to a pool and love swimming). If someone could give me some sort of reasonable daily/weekly routine it would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone knew where Erin from The Office is from. Her accent sounds northern Wisconsin/Minnesota but I'm curious if anyone knows a more exact location.
