  • What is a safe way to get cigarette smell out of an Osprey Atmos 65?

I just bought an Osprey Atmos 65 used from a local guy, and didn't realize it smelled so badly like cigarettes. I have washed it four times in the bathtub, using fresh water and more detergent each time. But it still smells like cigarette on the inside!

Does anyone have an idea? I want to try Vinegar, but don't know what it will do to the pack itself.

  • Can I cut a Springfield Armory GI .45 for better sights?

Got a new Springfield Armory GI .45, and was curious if I would be able to put different sights on it. It's got the no-dot, low-profile sights now. The rear one looks cut (It's adjustable), so I might be able to put a different one in there, but the front is one-piece to the slide.

Is it possible for a gunsmith to grind for better sights? And there's so many different sight cuts, what do you think would be best?

  • GM (Chevrolet) 700r4, slipping?

I bought a '91 s-10 blazer, that had 203,000 miles on it. Obviously, the transmission had problems. Well, I ordered a "rebuilt" transmission from Chevrolet, waited a week for it to get here, and bolted it up there. Went in pretty easy, put new seals in the transfer case, corrected shift linkage. But the transmission won't grab seceond, third, or Drive. First gear works fine, and reverse works fine. But when it shifts, there's just nothing there. You can manualy shift from first to second to drive, and it just feels like it's not grabbing. But when you shift back down from drive or second, into first, it'll grab real hard. Anyone have any ideas?

  • How do you remove the (passanger) door panel on a 1991 s10 Blazer?

I can't seem to figure it out. The only screws are two on the inside of the pull bar (Arm rest?), and that still doesn't come off.

I'd imagine a certain pull will snap things off, but i'm asking first so I don't break anything. '91 S10 blazer interior parts aren't easy to come by
