A few of my friends and I are planning a trip to attend an anime convention (about 300 km away from our town). We're going to be between 2 and 7 people and we're mostly 15, but some of us will be 16 in April (when the convention is). None of us ever went to an anime/Japanese pop culture convention type of thingy and I'd really like to know how it is. How much money each of us should bring, if we should go to both days or just one of them, if we should cosplay and stuff like that. It's a small country, so there probably won't be any famous mangakas or so ( :c ). Also, are the people there friendly? (:

Well, I have my own style, which is gradually getting pretty similar to Punk Rock. I've always felt pretty good with that, after all, wearing what you like and feeling good is the important part.

I'm used to some looks on the street and that occasional sarcastic whistle, but today, a guy from my school (I hadn't seen him all summer) made a comment that left my confidence pretty shaken up. "Alice, you shouldn't go on the streets dressed like that. If Pedro or Francisco (2 guys from our class) see you, you're gonna have a bad time, they're going to skin you alive. I mean, it's kinda cool, but this town isn't prepared for you and all this right now."

Since this comment, a few hours ago, I've been over analyzing this and considering dressing more "normally".

I just wanted to know if you think the Punk Rock Style is really "ridiculous" like some people say here.

The things is, I'm a fifteen year old girl. My father had a big influence on my growing up process, so I wind up with similar tastes to him. I love Star Wars, am a huge Harry Potter fan and love video games.I really like Science Fiction and I'm pretty much a rocker and have a bit of a different style.

I'm ok with this all, I've learned not everyone has the same tastes, but where I live, I've never found a girl or guy who shares the same interests as me, so, I have a little problem being liked by boys. Let's just say most guys here like really girly girls and can't understand that a girl liking Star Wars and Harry Potter doesn't mean she's not feminine.

I only know a guy who likes the same as me, and we're great friends, but unfortunately we're never gonna cross that line.

The real question is, I don't know what to do, could you help me?

I found out today that my boyfriend has stomach cancer, he's only 17, and I'm hoping he'll get trough it. I'm breaking down and I just need few songs about stuff like that, because it gives me hope. I've been listening to 'Save You' - Simple Plan and 'Cancer' - My Chemical Romance, even though I usually listen to rock and metal.

Any help finding another song like that?
