  • Help. There's a scratched car next to me but it might not have been me- do I report it?

I was struggling to park as a new driver. I got there in the end and got out of the car and noticed paint the same colour as mine on the bumper of the car next to me. There were no new scratches on my car and so I wasn't sure if it was me or not. I kinda panicked and parked elsewhere. I didn't leave my details as I wasn't sure it was me and didn't want someone to claim if it wasn't me but it was a hospital car park which likely had CCTV. I had to get on with my work but now I'm home I'm panicking should I report this to the police even though I'm not sure it was me but it might have been?

  • Where can I learn to drive on an intensive basis in the UK?

Obviously I'm looking for the best - money not an issue.

What was your experience of intensive driving lessons?

After 50 lessons my instructor is taking the p*ss by being vague about when I'd be ready for test when family think i'm driving really well now (with the credit crunch they need the money I suppose). I feel ready to book and get it out of the way with no more than another 10-20 lessons.

This has been my second instructor and really fed up with instructors leading you on and being pessimistic just because they want to keep you on their books.

The ones that waffle endlessly annoy me too. Let me concentrate on driving, correct me when I'm wrong and lets not spend 10 minutes talking about something I did perfectly.

I'm in the Northampton area if you know a good instructor that way, but if you know of a good intensive course I'd be happy to travel.

    Let me know.

P.S. Are there any driving school reivew websites that actually have reviews on them??

  • Calling off the wedding- is it an option?

Firstly, I do want to marry my boyfriend but I've never wanted a wedding. Really, nothing, I'd be quite happy with saying I do and going straight on holiday. Mainly because I'm barely in contact with my family and I only have a handful of friends (work people don't count). who live miles away in my hometown

However my boyfriend really wants a bigger do with all his family and friends. He thinks it's important for them to be part of it and feel special. I've gone along with all this for his sake. We've sent invitations out but not really spent much money yet.

Now it's turned into a farce. These people he wants to make feel special don't seem too fussed about turning up (they'll pop by, see what they're up to or they might even be on holiday). As if that's not bad enough none of my family will be making the trip down (yeah thanks) and not all my friends are able to confirm, meaning I have a grand total of 4 people on my side while my boyfriend will have about 100people on his side.

I've had enough!!! Why should I spend loads of money entertaining his friends and family with a wedding I've never wanted and I'm not looking forward to. I always made clear to my boyfriend my thoughts on weddings and even predicted my family's lack of interest and his friend's flakiness but he was insistent it was important to him to have the wedding his way with a big party (even when I was in tears begging to just elope). I eventually agreed to it beause I love him and it really was important to him. I've never been happy about this though and this morning I snapped and between sobs I told him that while I do want to marry him I'm really not looking forward to my own wedding. He didn't say much to that and then he had to shoot off to work. I haven't seen him since or had chance to talk about it.

I meant what I said but I feel awful about how this must have upset him. What do I do? Am I even being fair? Do I play it down and just get on with it, is that what most brides do? He'll probably ask tonight what I want instead- is it reasonable to suggest eloping with no friends or family (I'd only be dissapointing 4 people anyhow:- )???

    Any ideas?

  • I want kids, he doesn't. What to do?

After 2 years together he's never been keen on the idea on kids. We had a big talk about our future a few months ago and although our relationship is great and he's excited at the prospect of marriage he did say he never wants kids- NEVER full stop, but his reasons are silly and don't hold water. If forced to choose he said he'd rather we split up than we have kids.

He obviously has issues and he has offered to to talk them through with a professional and see if anything changes but as yet he hasn't actually booked anything.

I don't want kids this year or even next year but the fact that I have no hope for ever having children in this relationship is killing me.

What do I do? And guys, can you shed light on why my man might not want kids?

  • Men - why is it always us women who make it work?

If therapists and pop-psychology books are to be believed, women are the ones who have to give men space, patience, acceptance, and encouragement because men are scared little children primitively programmed to obay natural instincts which make them incompatible with faithful relationships.

Are women really some higher beings who's purpose is to

make everything in relationships easier for men? Men generally act as if they are doing women a favour by just agreeing to be in a relationship- what gives with that?

Why do men not feel the need to do the same for us? Many men even resent women having an occasional bout of PMT let alone giving us the reassurance, affection and comitment WE need for a relationship to work?

I'm not a man hater, I'm just confused by thier attitude sometimes. Can anyone shed some light on any of this???

  • Which is the best car for short people?

I'm 4 ft 10inches and struggle to reach the pedals in all the cars I've tried.

I tried learning to drive 10 years ago but it was useless. Cars have moved on a lot from then and seating is more adjustable than ever. Which car would be most comfortable for a shortie like me though.

I was thinking of a VW Lupo (it's the best I've found) but even 1998 models still pull in the best part of £2000. I need a car I can get for less than £2000 in decent condition.

  • What do I do?

This isn't really a relationship question but you all seem so clever in here:-)

I've written a story for a children's picture book but what should I do? Should I approach publishers directly or try to find an agent first?

    All advice welcome.

  • To live together or not?

Instead of commuting an 80 mile round trip per day my boyfriend is talking about me living with me Monday-Friday (I live within a mile of his work) and in his own place with his flatmate at weekends.

Everything is great between us and he will obviously contribute financially but is this a fair arrangement? We've been together nearly a year.

  • How can you end the terror of terrorists by destroying a whole country?

It's like having a rat problem and solving it by knocking down the whole house and the ironic thing is the rats still manage to escape to another house.

  • Hey guys, where to take a great man on a great date?

It's my turn to arrange a date. Where do I take him, what do I do? We are sleeping together but I wanted to do something non-sex related, something fun. He's a hippy (ish)/indie outdoors type in his early 30's.
