  • Is there anything else I can do to salvage my Samsung Galaxy S4 after a spill in water?

I dropped my phone in water and immediately picked it up and turned it off. I removed the battery, wiped everything down and put it, its battery, and the sim card in a sealed container submerged in rice. Is there anything else I can do? I'm very worried.

  • How to handle hot catered food all day?

I'm picking up a fresh tray of Chicken Biryani around 10 in the morning, but it won't be eaten until 6PM. I can refrigerate it once I get to my location at 11, but I'm not sure if it will be cool enough by then to safely refrigerate. I'm afraid of leaving it in my car for obvious reasons. Alternatively I could let it cool in my car until 1PM and then refrigerate it, but again, I'm not sure if it'll be cool enough by then to refrigerate/be okay in the car. The temp tomorrow will be around 50-60 degrees F. What should I do?

  • Dropped macbook, trackpad now sticking?

Oh no!! :( After a year and a half of having my macbook, I dropped it. There's a little dent in the corner, but what I'm more concerned about is that the trackpad seems to have shifted just a little to the left and occasionally gets stuck. What can I do to fix it?

  • Pain after cavity filling?

Yesterday I got a rather large cavity filled in my back right molar. Since then, I have had pain on and off. Last night when I used it to chew, I felt quite an intense pain that extended from the right side of my neck to the top of the right side of my head. Since then, I haven't used the right side of my mouth to chew. Is this normal sensitivity/pain after quite a large filling that was close to the nerve? I'm afraid it might be a high filling, but I can't really tell when I look in the mirror. Should I wait it out?

  • Help! Found wild baby bunny!?

So a couple days ago we were doing yardwork and found a baby bunny nest! We left the bunnies alone until we saw today that one or two of the baby bunnies had been attacked by a stray cat and the other ones had all ran off. We found one of the surviving bunnies and put it in a box with some grass and carrots and bedding. We saw its mother in the yard next to ours and we tried to give the bunny to her but she didn't pay attention to it, and the baby kept following us. The baby truly seems as if it's attached to my mother now. Every time we put him down he follows us and tries to climb up her leg. We know that we can't give it the milk it needs to survive so what do we do?? We don't want to leave it in the wild because it's mother is not taking notice of it and we're afraid the stray cat will get to it.

  • Tooth pain causing headache, earache and dizziness?

I have a throbbing pain in one of my teeth and at the same time I have a headache and a bit of vertigo. I checked the symptoms of an abscessed tooth on this website: http://www.medicinenet.com/abscessed_tooth/article... but I have none of them except for maybe the general discomfort. I hate to sound childish, but I really do not want to have my tooth pulled. I have had pain in this tooth (or general region) before, and shown my dentist, but he couldn't find anything wrong. My cousin said the pain might be because I might have had food stuck between my teeth and that it will subside in a couple of days.

I'm a little worried because I have a headache and dizziness as well... could it be sinuses?

  • How to convince a professor to change a grade?

I've been working really hard in my class, but unfortunately I have a shoddy immune system and frequently fall ill. My professor has an attendance policy and every absence after 2 is a 5% reduction in the total grade for the class. Before the reduction, I have a 94%. The absence hasn't applied yet, but when it is I'll drop down from an A to a B+. How can I go about approaching my professor? I've worked hard on every assignment and actively participate in all of the classes I attended, however it is her policy...

I'm on the quarter system so this will be final grade.

  • Which laptop should I get?

I'm a first-year in college, and my trusty Toshiba Satellite took a spill the other day and the hard drive is no more :( I'm looking to get a new laptop, but I'm at a loss as to what to get. I've been considering the Toshiba Portoge R700 or the R705, but I don't know too much about either, other than that they are lightweight and fast and that the R705 has increased durability (DEFINITELY a plus for me...). Still, I'm completely open to other suggestions as well, so please help me!

  • Problems with Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista?

Hey all. I have the most frustrating issue with my laptop right now. My laptop freezes, sometimes on startup, sometimes during usage, and then completely locks up when I try CTRL+ALT+DELETE. All my programs become inactive and often stop responding. I then get a black screen and an error message that says: 'Failure: Security Options'. I've found one or two solutions that seem to have worked for people for this problem, but every time I try to start my laptop in Safe Mode, it gets stuck on crcdisk.sys. I've run CHKDSK and antivirus scans, but they've all come up clean. What do I do??

  • What kind of foot pain is this?

I have pain in my foot that I don't entirely understand. At first, after doing some research, it sounded like posterior tibial tendinitis, but I'm a little young for that. It hurts in virtually the same region, though. The pain begins in an area in front of the ankle and continues along the line of my foot, I guess along the arch. The pain comes and goes, but is pretty severe after a long day of walking or standing. I went for a strenuous walk yesterday and today the foot hurts extremely and is swelling a bit.

  • How to relieve knee pain after injuring it in a squat?

I have had pain in one of my knees after doing a squatting exercise a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure if it's strained or what, but I've kind of let it be, which isn't the smartest thing to do, I know. Recently the tendonitis in my ankle has flared up and now there are two areas of the same leg that are killing me so I'm trying to find a remedy for my knee. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

  • Tooth hurts when drinking and eating?

Even when I'm drinking water my tooth hurts and I don't know what's wrong with it. It happens to be the same tooth that I got filled a couple months ago. The pain feels kind of like a nerve pain, which is why I'm worried. It basically hurts to chew with that tooth or allow fluid to pass over it. What can I do??
