The apartment I live in is a multi-family home. There was a notice posted on the entrance last Friday, stating that the NJ Housing department was going to be inspecting the apartments this coming Wednesday. The notice stated the tenants must leave the keys to the apartment with another tenant and or the owner make the apartments available. What does the inspector look for?

I have a new job, starting monday. I will be working in a corporate building. It is my understanding that my client interaction will be via phone and email rather than in person. During the interview, my direct supervisor told me that buisness casual is OK.

So, what is appropriate to wear on the first day? Should I wear a suit? A nice pair of slacks and shirt? I never really understood what business casual is???

During the interview process, I was told that only three candidates would make it past the phone interviews, into a face to face interview. I was one of those 3, and had the interview last week. I wrote a thank you letter and a follow up email about their decision process. I received a phone call from the corporate HR rejecting me, and then she told that I should expect a letter next week? Why would she call to reject me, just to tell me that they are going to reject me again a few days later by mail?

Aditionally, she did mention that they would like to talk to me again in December. During the interview process I was told that they had one position now, and by January, would be expanding the department personel

My boyfriend and I used to to live in NC, where we have a beautiful 3 bedroom home. Last November, my company offered me a job in NYC, so I moved into an apartment in NJ. My boyfriend stayed in NC, with the hopes of getting a job here. He hasn't had any luck yet. In June, I was laid off.

My lease says I have to give the landlord 45 days notice. After I lost my job, I gave him a written notice explaining my issue. And he called me, and offered to lower the rent in order to help me until I found a job. I have been on several interviews tho. Do I have to give him written notice again (starting the 45 days start period over)? OR can I just tell him, I appriciated the offer for temporary reduced rent, but since I haven't found a job, I will be moving out the end of August????

My b/f doesn't want me to give up and move back to NC. Am I being realistic or am I giving up? Our mortgage payment, taxes, insurance is half the price of the rent!!! What do I do?

A staffing agency found my resume posted online, called me & scheduled an interview w/the firm tomorow. I am meeting/interviewing with one of the agents. Can anyone tell me how to handle an interview when I can't do any research (since I don't know the company name)?? What kind of questions am I supposed to ask? What sort of ?'s will she ask me? I really don't know anything about the position. I asked her to email me the job description but she never did. What should I expect? How do I prepare. Any advise would be greatly appriciated.

I still don't know what position they have in mind for me to fill. B/c each person tells me something different! What do you suggest or think it means, I am at a loss! I am supposed to meet another person later this week!!!
