Boot comp, sometimes goes to desktop, most times not. Resets or shuts down during boot. Slaved my HD to another comp. User Profile "OWNER" listed, go in, says ACCESS DENIED. Mouseover folder, "EMPTY". Go to DOS, ACCESS DENIED. really need some files before I do system restore. Any ideas? Any low level software to retrieve files?

I wonder if there is a script that a client can access via our website, enter a file name, have that script search their local hard drive and upload it to our server. Then after we edit the file I am looking to do the same thing in reverse.

... and how do I adjust the idle? If it were the old cars with a carb, I could do it but I don't know on these cars.

I am looking for some latin guitar music. It is to be sultry and passionate and NOT slow and no vocals. It has to have depth and soul. It has to be passionate but not "romantic". As I am not latin in anyway, I cannot describe what I once heard. I know it was a bit fast paced and had "umph". I have a link, whose target="_new" so when someone clicks the link, it pops up in a new window. I got that covered but I need to know how to make that window come up full screen. In CA, probably elsewhere, carpool lanes are only carpool lanes during certain "rush" hours.

What is the vehicle code that one would be cited for if they crossed the solid double yellow lines of a carpool lane when the carpool lane was "off-hours". People seem to assume that when a carpool lane is off hours, that it also applies to the painted lines on the pavement. I do not believe that the 2 sets of solid double yellow lines and one set of solid white lines miraculously become a single dashed white line, allowing free entrance and exiting on the lane. Am I right, or am I wrong?

I would like to know if I can actually see and/or edit the contents of a database. If I am running a forum and someone subits a post, can i go in to MySQL and pull up that post?

I have a 3D program and it shows my project in a solid state. I want to see what it would look like in a wire mesh thing. What is that called? It is where you project is turned into a 3D outline of like a wire grid. I cannot find a button on my software to make it happen although I know it is possible. I just dont know what that is called so I cannot research how to make the change. If it makes any difference, I have Zbrush 3.1 Demo.

I want to write a batch file. This batch file is simply going to rename one file to a new filename and rename a secondary file to the name I just changed.

For example:

ren file1a.ext oldfile1.ext

ren file1b.ext file1a.ext

Now, I have 5 different files this could be done to. I would like to have a prompt where a user enters 1-5 and then that particular file gets renamed, leaving the other 4 alone.

I have a PC and a laptop both running windows xp (sp2). I need to do a peer-to-peer so I can dump stuff from one computer to another and then recover the laptop. Do I HAVE to have a hub? Can I not just connect like the good old days from NIC to NIC. Of course todays computers do not come with a NIC equipt with a BNC connector so I am presuming that if I can directly connect the 2 computers, the cable has to be a cross-over, no? Does anyone know how I can peer-to-peer these 2 computers WITHOUT going out and SPENDING MONEY I DO NOT HAVE? I have P2P in 3.1, 95, and 98 but not XP. I know I can get other HW to do the same thing but it is not an option.

I am having a brain fart here. I need to find the screen that lists all the file exensions and their associated program.

I have already right-clicked the file, went to OPEN WITH and also to PROPERTIES and tried to associate it with a particular exe file but it wont associate. I did when I had the programs folder on my desktop but I moved it to the C:/PROGRAMS FILES folder. Now it will not associate. I want to go to that list of all extesions and remove that one from the list so I can reassociate it.

Here's a dumb question but how far is a "click"? If you need to travel a click or the enemy is 2 clicks away... how far is that?

OK, heres what I did and what happened. I already rang the gong for the day and was wondering if I manually forwarded my computr to the next day in hopes that I could ring it again.

Well, I think I did get my wish but it forwarded my tribe a whole day too.

So I got to thinking. I got all my available women pg. put my computer to the correct date. This didn't change anything. I went back & upped it to the next day again. when I got back into the game, those kids were now wondering around. I did this a few more times. I am now up to 105 (Max) people. 32 of them are kids. My tech pts. are 1.5 million, food is over 36,000. Nothing else changes. tracking 73 workers is difficult. I have nothing to build so I made them either research or farmers and put a capital F or R after their name so when I click on them I know where they need to be. Now I am trying to see how many elders I can get out of all this chaos. Just thought I'd share this discovery. quit out of the game when you change dates

There is a crate on the southern part of the beach, right at the waters edge. I guess I have bought enough technology because I can drag a master builder to it and he'll actually try to open it. When they do, it says he cannot do it alone. I drug a second master builder to it and they couldn't open it. How do I open the dang thing? My third master builder is caring for a baby so I cannot drag 3 of them over there. Will that work or am I missing something?

I think Chef Ramsey is a bit extreme and I'd have a few choice comments if he ever talked to me like that but it sure does make good TV. My favorite line was when he was chewing someone out and he told her to use a non-stick pan. "That's why they call it f***ing non-steeeek" (phonetic spelling). Now when I am in the kitchen with my "non-steek" pans, I hear him yelling that line. LOLOLOL.

Ok, I am obsessed with linerider lately. I was fortunate enough to have someone let me know how to draw straight lines. That tight. Now I have a different question.

When I save a game, where does the file get created and what is it called? I have a program that deletes my temp files and internet files and cookies and so on. When I run it, I lose my saves. I keep a clean computer but want to copy the linerider files somewhere, clean my computer, and put the files back. Does anyone have any idea what/where these save files are?

Am I missing something here? I've watched some of the LineRider videos, both on linerider.org and on youtube. I see people who make their tracks with straight lines. How do they do it? I can make a staight line horizonally but thats it. Is the a hot key or a different version I can't find? What's the deal.

... do these "boards" infringe on our freedom of speech? Isn't rather easy to be in violation if I were to pose a question that most people would think "morally wrong" and since only a minority could relate, the question would be cleared? If there was freedom of speech on these "boards", why are there rules and guidelines?
