I want to ship a Christmas gift to an APO box to a USAF retiree. The package weighs more than one pound, but less than 2 pounds. I have heard that there is a package weight limit, at least for retirees, that they can't receive any packages over 1 pound sent to their APO boxes. The APO mailroom worker will return the package to sender... even if it only weighs an ounce or two over a pound. Is that accurate policy?

I'm interested in a small (4-seater?), used sea plane for salt water use. How much should I expect to pay for one of these. Best answer will have links and maybe even pictures to back up their response/suggestion.

I'm looking for cheap lodging (but clean and safe... just not luxury or up to "American" tourist/hotel standards) in a hostel or pension for a 4-7 days in Vallarta. I'd prefer something near where I can catch a water taxi to Los Arcos for snorkeling or to Yelapa for day trip(s). Would this hostel have to be near the marina (north of the airport) or do water taxis leave from south of the Malecon also (so I could stay in the older, less-expensive part of PV)?

Or is it "inappropriate" for someone that age/grade? Best question will be awarded to the answer showing the most insight and understanding of the issue.... and justification of the answer.

I want to rent a panga and guide (driver) for a day on the water in Puerto Vallarta. I want to go to Los Arcos, maybe all the way to Yelapa. How much should I expect to pay for the boat and the "driver", and how difficult would it be rent one/set up the deal? Should I just show up at the marina in the morning?

I believe Mexico has laws restricting foreign ownership of land within 100 km of the coasts. True? I know the perfect place (abandoned palapa). How can I find out about the owner and possibility of purchasing the land for a second/retirement home?
