The room has 1 light switch.

The light switch has a Black wire hooked up to it and a yellow wire hooked up to it. It also has a orange wire running out of the back of the switch(it is not hooked in with a screw.

Out of the ceiling box there is the following

Set of 3 black wires

set of 2 white wires

1 solo white wire

1 orange wire

1 yellow wire

Currently I have a ceiling fan that is hooked up as follows.

From fan Black to 3 black wires in ceiling

From fan white to 2 whites in ceiling

From fan white/black wire to yellow wire in ceiling

Orange from the ceiling is capped off

Solo white wire from ceiling is capped off

I took the green wire from the ceiling fan and connected it to the ceiling plate and capped it off.

Now the problem is my switch does nothing for the light or the fan. Whether the switch is in the on or off position the light and fan remain on.

Any would be awesome

My goal is to use the switch to control the light only. I would like the fan to constantly have power supplied to it.

I imagine most beleive he has performance enhancing drugs...but for you who still think he is innocent...why do you feel that way?

Um no don't , the rich are protected by "coporation papers" The more we try to tax the rich the more the taxes get pushed on to all the classes below....

When a politician says tax the rich give to the poor they say that because it is an easy way to get the tax increases passed ... but in the end the taxes reach us all....

Did you know that there were no permanant taxes until 1913...taxes used to only come up when we needed to fund something important...now our goverment taxes us through the roof for everything and anything...and here's the kicker ... if a group gets more tax money to spend and they do not spend it all they may lose the money they are supposed to get....

So our government actually encourages wasting money...not spending it responsibly....

This my friends is one reason you do not want a socialist party in control of the House, Senate and White House....

Vote wisely or soon our country will be an outline of what it once was....

Let me first state I am not black, but when I hear he is attempting to be the first Black President I am confused...wasn't his mother white?

I mean I don't look at Jason Kidd as the best White basketball player , and if someone told me he was the greatest white basketball player of his time I would laugh at that....

I just want to know how others feel about the media portraying people such as Obama, Tiger, and Halle Berry as black....even though they are clearly not black in the truest sense...

The way I see it is the guy made some really messed up decisions and paid for it in the most severe way...but I have a hard time feeling bad for him....I guess the way I look at it, he is lucky he did not kill anyone else...

I think this move of Beckham coming to the US to play soccer is a complete joke I want Ronaldino not some washed up player....I equate this move to Michael Jordan going to Italy after after playing for Washington ...what a joke...I think this does nothing to improve the quality of play in MLS soccer
