Im only a young enlisted guy so please bear with me..

Ive recently found out my mom has some serious heart issues going on right now. shes a single mother with me (her eldest child) and my younger sister. I need to know more about the Air Force Humanitarian Reassignment program. My mom needs me home pyshically and financially to take care of her.. atleast for a little while. Im kind of scared on how i should approach my command with this topic..

someone very helpful told me I can fill out my af392 90 days after I get to my first base. What are tge chances of getting a duty tour to overseas? I really want to go. Im goin to be stationed at cannon new mexico. In tech school rght now.and how long would it take for me to know if I got the overseas assignment? My lucks been pretty bad as of yet.. Thank you.

I recently got my orders to go to Canoon AFB, Clovis New Mexico. I was wondering if it would be optional for me to buy an apartment off base if i agree to pay on it myself. Would i still get BAH? (im thinking not). I am still an E3 Junior Enlisted. Most people told me I cannot get my own place off base until i reach E4-E5, no matter what. Is this true?

So Im going to be stationed in Cannon AFB, New Mexico and im totally pysched about that, but my question is how fast would i be able to apply for temporary assignments to other locations? I really like to travel so Im focused on travelling and seeing places, as well as working hard ofcourse. im apart of the 27th Spec Ops Civil Engineering Squadron. my job is HVAC. Do Temporary Duty Assignments come along alot? And if they do, how can i apply for them?

So i hurt myself in BMT and the docs decided i was unfit to continue on to tech school, and put me on Medical Hold. Med Hold's not too shabby, but it can get depressing and i just want to continue and begin my career you know. Well, I was sent home on Con. I'm about a few days to returning back, and my foot has healed (I had a stress fracture, those suck). But, I dont think it healed correctly. I can feel a bone sort of sticking out of where the fracture was located. I'm just wondering.. are they gonna break my foot again, do surgery, and keep me in medical hold for like 6 months? This would obviously suck.. Or is it my choice to do surgery or continue on training as long as it healed? Yea its not a good decision to continue on with a foot that sort of healed incorrectly.. but i am desperate lol. I want to start my AF career you know? Want to be out there doing something. Thanks for any informative information. (MY Job is Security Forces, and it is a little more physical demanding then many other AF Jobs)

During Air Force BMT, we fired the M16 weapon. I had a problem using it as it kept jamming so much. I constantly had to check the chamber, pull out the damn Magazine, Pull the trigger to get out any stuck bullets, and restock the Magazine. (It was a headache). Is this weapon really that trustworthy in combat?

I got a stress fracture and had to leave my 7th week of training. Now, Im home for a month. This is nice and all, but I know that after a month I have to go back and finish my Physical Therapy (which is another 8 weeks) then finally i graduate. I can walk and run just fine, but not for very long. The fracture is in the lower fibula (which to me is a useless bone anyway). How can i go about healing this faster and getting done with basic without having to stay in the 319th medical hold for an extra freakin 2 months.

I leave for BMT Tuesday. I have 2 jeans, and 3 shirts already packed. I also having all my shaving equipment, body wash/shampoo (2 in 1), and dental equipment packed. How many pairs of socks and boxers do I need to bring? Will they issue socks and boxers there, or will i wear the ones that I bring. I have a pair of 5 Socks, and 4-6 boxers, but I don't know if I will be needing that many. Any help?

My recruiter said that his squadron does things a little differently. If i am not 10 lbs. below my maximum when I go to MEPS the day before BMT, then i am disqualified. Can they really disqualify me? I am 6-7 lbs below Maximum right now (Maximum is 186 for my height, and I am at 179). My question is, can i really get disqualified? I waited so long and made it this far.. I am 7 lbs below my max weight, and they want it even lower?! Its already below my max weight why would I be disqualified If im not 10 lbs below my max?

I'm asking. If a bomb was sent towards the U.S., do we still have bomb sirens that would go off in the cities and towns? And do our young people even know what they are if they do go off? We have one in our town area, and they do test runs on it all the time.

Ok, heres the breakdown. My family is from Punjab, more specifically of the Jat people.

My grandmother from my mothers side was born to a Ghuman family. The Ghuman's declared they are descendants from the early day Ottoman's, who migrated to Punjab a while back. I believe this only because when I look at my grandmother, she is fairly white skinned, had brownish hair, and blue eyes.

My grandfather had an unusual name that many Punjabi people do not have. His given name was Anouk (or Anuk) Singh Ghuman.

So could it be true that I have Turkish blood? And I guess this further shows that the Punjabi people of North India are not Indians after all, but an ethnic group migrated from the western countries.

Teens, you know as well as I that you are the next leading generation of America. What are your views on leadership? What can you do to help our country? Answers I'm looking for.

I'm only asking because I would like to know the young people's views. We need the youth to get more involved in taking leadership roles. Education is a must, and not only that, but knowing what your doing. (There's no slip ups in taking care of a nation.) For the purpose that the U.S, and the world, will live on strong and prosperous.

Many people still seem to log it into their opinions by stating White & Black in terms or racism. In the past, the U.S was well aware of the Black riots. Things have changed now, including the definition of what racism is. It is not just about black or white anymore, its about geographic location, specific facial features, and religion.

For example, would a racist person really care if a person who they called a terrorist is a white skinned Muslim or black skinned Muslim? No. They would see their name first, their accent, and their facial features. These attribute to where they are from, and what religion they are.

Do you agree?

A person was not given a job because he/she is labeled as "ugly" by the employers. How messed up is that?

I recently read a few articles on men and women, and their cheating problems.

1.) A woman stated she was cheated on, and needed advice. what did the other women say? Honey dump his *** right now just dump him. That was 12 out of 14 answers from women.

2.) A guy stated he was cheated on, and needed advice. What did women say? "Oh well you should really think this through. You should try giving her another chance if its in your heart" Blah Blah crap crap.

What kind of crap is this? The men i noticed gave better advice to BOTH the man and woman.I guess women really do get their emotions involved with everything they do.

Do you see the biased view here? Need i mention more?

In a few days, i leave for Air Force BMT. I am happy about my decision because I love my country and want to give back to it for the opportunities it gives me. But, I have some concerns. I know Prejudice is not tolerated in the military. But my situation is a little different. You see, my family is from Punjab, a small nation-state bordering Pakistan. I guess you can say i can be labeled as a potential "Middle Easterner", but I am full of full American (Born and Raised). Theres not a lot of us in the U.S Military because many people have been bashed with a lot stereotypical racism since 9/11. Do I have something to worry about here? My decision is final, but I don't want to be treated like a idiot or fool. I've even noticed looks when i was down at MEPS a few months ago.

Also, I know anywhere I go i will meet ignorant people. But I wish I wont meet as many in the Military, people I will be working with side by side who I would need to trust with my life, as they need my trust as well, as a Team.

I had constipation for the past few days, which seemed to have been cured. But, my stool comes out light dark colored and thin. After eating, i get a stomach pain (its bearable, however). The pain moves around from mid stomach to left side/right side, and I feel dizzy.

Had constipation for the past few days. Took laxatives, and that helped, but the constipation returned. Now, the constipation is starting to wear out, but stool comes out light brownish and pencil shaped, and little by little. I also noticed a little bit of rectal bleeding, but that was from all the whipping i did when the laxatives gave me diharrea. I also have a light pain where my colon and galbladder should be. Is this a sign of Colon Cancer or Rectum Cancer? Or possibly Hemmorhoids? I'm 19 years old quite young, and I must admit i have had a not so good diet in the past few years. But overall, I am healthy and have no problems or family history.

Joining AF. Going to BMT in roughly a week and a half. My recruiter wants my weight 10 lbs below my maximum which is 186. My weight is, however, 180. He says if its not down 10 lbs by monday, i will be sent to MEPs so that they can verify and check my weight and height. I asked if they can disqualify me for this, and he said possibly yes. This pisses me off. I've been waiting for over 7 months for my AF job, and now i can get disqualified for this crap? I'm good on the push ups, sits ups, abdominal measurement, and the 1.5 mile run (i took the points test, and got a 80.0). What can i do about this?

My constipation began Saturday, which was about 6 days ago. On Tuesday, I took Milk of Magnesia. It caused some mild diharrea, but by Wednesday the diharrea was gone.However, during Wednesday and Thursday, the constipation returned, causing mild pain after eating and a bloated feeling. I had no trouble passing gas. Last night (Thursday night) i took some more Milk of Magnesia. Now, Friday morning, i'm on the runs to the bathroom again. Will my constipation return? What can i do to prevent it from returning like it did the other time? Is there something wrong with my colon or intestines? It just occured rarely, out of the blue. I leave for military training in a week and I don't need these problems right now.. I've also tried prune juice, and have been putting Benefiber in my drinks... these things don't seem to work @ all.
