  • i need a good excuse when I quit my job?

    Facts:

    I live overseas

    I miss my family

    4 months ago, I took a job knowing I would leave to go back to my home country 6 months from then. They asked me if I would ever return home, and of course that's a hard thing to answer but I said I didn't have plans to return.

    I now need to give my notice and return home.

    What I need:

    I don't know what to say with my company so that they won't think I was lying to them all along. I am looking for good reasons.

    I don't think saying "someone in my family has died" is good because a lot of people use that excuse and it is bad karma. I think I should say something like how I need to return because something has happened and I am the only one that can fix it.

    Do you have any suggestions??
