I just bought a ruger PC9 with ghost ring sights and am wondering what ammo I should use for hd. I have heard that 9mm hollow points are designed for handguns and when fired out of a 16" barrel they will over over expand and under penetrate. Is that true and should I use fmj or those fancy fmj expanding rounds?

I am looking for a 9mm carbine to shoot at my indoor range along with my shotgun and liked the look of this one and the fact that it is based on the reliable mac-10 action. My other two choices if I dont buy the masterpiece are the Ruger PC9 which is impossible to find and the High Point Carbine which my local gun store has on sale for $369 plus taxes and fees.

I have a Remington 870 Super Mag that came with two chokes a Turkey X "full choke" which is marked lead only and a Waterfowl over Decoy's which is a modified choke and not marked lead only. I had the Turkey choke in and shot 75 rounds of estate steel shot ammo threw it. Do you guys think I have damaged my choke?

For my first shotgun I am planning on getting a remington 870 police shotgun. I have a few questions about the model I am looking at. It says it has a fixed I/C choke what does that mean? Also the sights are a bead sight, would it be possible to change them to bead night sights? Finally what it a quick detach stud? Im looking for a good home defense shotgun as well as a shotgun for trap. I have narrowed my choice to these two and plan to purchase a longer barrel for trap with the one that I get . Owner's of both how do you like them and is their alot of aftermarket parts for them? Which do you prefer?
