HELP!! I am stuck?
The breaking strengths of cables produced by a certain manufacturer have a mean µ, of 1900 pounds, and a standard deviation of 70 pounds. It is claimed that an improvement in the manufacturing process has increased the mean breaking strength. To evaluate this claim, 22 newly manufactured cables are randomly chosen and tested, and their mean breaking strength is found to be 1911 pounds. Assume that the population is normally distributed. Can we support, at the 0.01 level of significance, the claim that the mean breaking strength has increased? (Assume that the standard deviation has not changed). Carry your intermediate computations to at least three decimal places.
The null hypothesis: The alternative hypothesis: The type of test statistic: The value of the test statistic:(Round to at least three decimal places.) The p-value:(Round to at least three decimal places.) Can we support the claim that the mean breaking strength has increased?
Mathematics5 months agoUnsure? Help?
LMP was July 29-August 3, 2014. I did not get my period at the end of Aug like I should have instead period was two weeks late and then showed up on Sept. 13 and lasted until the 15 and was very light. Usually they last 4 days and are heavy most of the way through. Breasts are still sore and have been for the past month and last month...is there a possibility to be pregnant or am I just over-thinking it? Oh and I also spotted in Aug from the 15-16...very scant...barely anything. Please advise. Yes I sexually active (33 years old), no I do not use birth control and yes it is a planned thing.
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive7 years agoUnsure and wondering....?
I was on Mirena for 5 years and recently had it removed in July on the 6th. With Mirena I always had very light periods, nothing really heavy and always over with 3-4 days. Anyway after the removal they prescribed pills which made me deathly sick, so they told me to stop those. I stopped taking them around a week after they gave them to me. It was also around that time that me and my husband decided we would forgo BC and try for a baby. My question is..my periods would always start at the end of the month and finish at the beginning of another. Like my last one was on June 30-to July 3. I should have gotten one at the end of July.I have not had one since and I have been feeling extra tired, falling asleep during the day,I have lower back pain and I have developed a yeast infection which I also got when I was pregnant with my daughter who is almost 6 now. I took tests and they said negative but is it perhaps too early to notice? Oh and I also developed these annoying rashes under my armpits and under my boobs.

1. Suppose you are an event coordinator for a large performance theater. One of the hottest new Broadway musicals has started to tour, and your city is the first stop on the tour. You need to supply information about projected ticket sales to the box office manager. The box office manager uses this information to anticipate staffing needs until the tickets sell out. You provide the manager with a quadratic equation that models the expected number of ticket sales for each day x. ( is the day tickets go on sale).
Tickets = -0.3x^2+15x+8
a. Does the graph of this equation open up or down? How did you determine this?
b. Describe what happens to the tickets sales as time passes?
c. Use the quadratic equation to determine the last day that tickets will be sold. (Note: Write your answer in terms of the number of days after ticket sales begin.)
d. Will tickets peak or be at a low during the middle of the sale? How do you know?
e. After how many days will the peak or low occur?
f. How many tickets will be sold on the day when the peak or low occurs?
g. What is the point of the vertex? How does this number relate to your answers in parts e and f?
h. How many solutions are there to the equation ? How do you know?
i. What do the solutions represent? Is there a solution that
