I have a 1997 Ford Ranger with a manual transmission. Twice now, when driving down a gravel road, I go over a series of ruts (not deep, but spaced like wakeup strips on the highway). This cause the truck to shake a bit and then the truck will lose power...needles all drop at once...steering locks up...and brakes etc. If you attempt to restart immediately, the starter will engage and you will hear the engine attempting to fire up but it does not.

The first time I was able to sit for about 15-20 minutes and fire up the truck again. The second time, I sat for a while and when I attempted to start the truck, the engine would start but would then sit there barely running/shuddering and then quit again. Had to have it towed the 2nd time.

The mechanic got it to fire right up on Monday morning with no problems. Not sure what this could be, and I would hate to have it happen on the freeway at 65 mph versus the last two times it happened on a country road at 30 mph. Thoughts?

For those of you who have seen the series, it is the scene (from "The Breaking Point") after the assault on Foy where 1st Sgt. Lipton is going through a list of the men Easy Company had lost. In the background a choir from the local convent is singing. Does anyone happen to know the piece?

I have spent most of my life studying World War 1 and 2 history, but I have spent very little time studying the American Civil War. I am looking for some recommendations on works that are well written but do not draw out into esoteric academia. I have looked at some of the titles available on amazon, borders and others, but I just do not trust the sensational claims of marketing firms and publishers. I find it is better to get recommendations from normal folks who have actually read the work.

I have seen many blogs/message boards detailing the different factions, campaigns etc., but I am interested in the version that is necessary to play this mod. Is it just the Total War: Rome version or is it the Total War: Rome plus one of the expansions (like Barbarian invasion or Alexander)?

I would like some actual discussion on this topic. I may be expecting too much for Yahoo answers, but what the hey.

Ultimately, what I am asking is whether or not you agree with the studies that link drugs such as Ritalin (a SSRI = Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) to thoughts/actions involving violence and suicide?

To add some additional details for any prospective answerers:

1. I don't play many games on my PC due to lack of time so please just let me know what you know about this one game.

2. I have tried a number of Mods for Medieval 2 (Rise of Kings/Lands to Conquer) and I do like the fact that they slow down the strategic/turn based portion of the game.

3. Is there a Mod that makes the RT combat more realistic?

Specifically, anything that will address the inordinate amount of time certain units spend battling each other, and the fact that an entire cavalry unit gets hung up on a rock!
