  • Should I get full time job or keep doing what I am doing?

So I l love surfing. I work nights 20 hours a week 5 nights a week. 2 of those nights are Saturday and Sunday. I make al right money because I of the hours I work. I also clean a few houses during the week for cash jobs. I am living with my parents right now and I am 22 years old and 5 months. I have been looking at going shares in a cheaper rental near the beach.

My friend who is a older male wants me to go shares with him in a rental unit 2 bedrooms, and its right on the beach. It is rather expensive and he is trying to talk me to getting a full time job 40 hours a week.

I am really happy with what I am doing now though. I can go surfing during the day, and have time to work on my fitness during the day to make me better surfer. It is an awesome apartment, but my dream is to surf.

I have had my job I am at now for 1 year. I had a plan in my head. I was going to live at my parents for another year and less I can find some one interested in renting a cheap unit with me. I was going to stay at my job for atleast another year. During this time I was going to try pay my new car off and go surfing all the time, and save money to go away on holiday. In another year I will have over 1 month of paid holiday leave at work, and I was going to go surf for a month strait at better surf locations on holidays. After this I was going to start looking for an FIFO job doing what I am doing now, and live in good surf location while back home

  • When guys look you up and down with that sleazy look is it deliberate?

I am wondering do they mean to do it and make it obvious, or are they just checking you out and not even realizing how obvious they are being?. Some times I might be talking to a guy, or a guy looks strait at me and gives me this look. He looks me up and down with this sleazy look. What is this?

  • Is it rude to tell people to go away if they try take my spot while surfing?

So I surf beach breaks manly. I get down early when there is not many people. I get annoyed when I am surfing at a spot and people try come along and take it. Especially if there is not many people and they could have gone any were else. Its like once people see you get a few good ones, they think that is the spot to be at. What really annoyed me is if they are on long boards or stand up paddle boards. I am female I should add. So if people try come along and try take my spot, I paddle away and if they follow I point away and say "GO AWAY" Am I being rude? I just like being out there on my own some times and have my own area. If there is lots of people out there I do not do these. Only when I feel its not necessary for them to surf near me

  • Surfers what do you call a wave that is not completely closed out?

So a Wave that goes goes up and dumps over but it has a little barrel but then just closes out. I usually just call it a close out because its not going to be much of a ride any way. Maybe like a few seconds

  • Could I live in a campervan? plz help?

So I moved back in with my parents for one year. I live with Mum and step Dad. He has been my step Dad since 3. Growing up he was weird and did some weird stuff. I told my Mum about it after a long time of this stuff going on and she put a stop to it. So I moved out with my boyfriend for 1 year but he was abusive, so I left him and moved back to my parents. I thought every thing would be all good considering every thing had been sorted out. Now one year after moving back in things are getting weird again and I want to move out.

I can not afford to rent a house. Could I sell my car and use the money to set myself up in a camper van, I could try get into caravan parks to stay when I can afford it, move along when its time. I could stay places over night if I have no where else to go. I am a surfer so I could stay near the beach too at times. I do work at night

  • My Step Dad keeps looking in my bedroom?

So I am 22 years old and moved back in with my parents one year ago after living with a boyfriend for a year or so. My Step Dad has been my Dad since 3 years old. Growing up he did weird stuff but I thought it all had been sorted since telling my Mum.

So In the morning he keeps opening my door really quietly and looking in my room. I do not know if he does this when I am sleeping. I am sure he does not do this to my brothers. A few times he has done this and embarrassingly enough I had my hands down my pants. Also if I am in my room and he wants to come tell me some thing he just walks in. He gives a knock and opens the strait away with out giving me enough time to respond. He has done this while I have been getting dressed.

    Would this bother you?

    What would you do?

  • My ex boyfriend wants to be friends, but I don't know if he deserves my friendship?

So we were together for 2 years and lived together for one year. We had many good times but I was so blind to the bad at the time. Now I see it and it makes me feel angry.

When we were together we would have some drinks and he would start fights for no reason. Then he would kick me out of the house and tell me to drive to my parents house and stay there. So he was telling me to drink and drive. If he loved me he never would of wanted me to put my life in danger like that.

He would even threaten he would kick me out and I would have to drive to my parents so I would do as he wants. He did this because he knows I hate to drive when I drinking. So I started asking my parents to come pick me up when he did this. That pissed him off because then he looked bad to my parents.

The day I found out I was going to miscarry my pregnancy, he had his mate over at our house and they were out the back drinking. When I was in hospital having an d&c he went fishing and came in after. When his friends were round he just ignored me. He would take of to the pub and leave me at home. He would come home drunk and become abusive.

Now we split up for months and he messages me and wants to still chat as friends.

Also he know I am doing really good in life since we split up. He knows I gave up cigarettes and drinking, got a new car, have been getting very fit, making good money. He got a friend to add me on facebook and he does not realize that I know its his friend. My ex is a loser he just lost his license to drink driving. He is an alcoholic and only has a cash job. He looses all his money to gambling. On the phone he has been making out like is doing really well saying he got his own house and is saying he also gave up cigarettes. So he just keeps bragging in a way trying to make it sound as if he is doing really well, when I know him well enough to know its all bull ****. Is he doing this to try win me back? or because he knows I am doing well?

  • there was a coca-roach in my bag, what to do?

So I left my beach bag in the garage at home and a coca-roach got in there. When I got to the beach I took my wet suit out and the coca-roach climbed out my bag. What should of I done about it considering people were around? It was not a real big one. At first I started throwing sand at it try kill it. That did not work so I covered it in sand.

    What would of you done?

would you have in been embarrassed?

I did not have a shoe of any thing. I did not want to get to close because they are my worse fear

  • Do you think swimmers should swim between the flags and away from surfers?

So as a surfer I will have a good spot surfing. Then a bunch of young people will come along and start swimming right next to were I am surfing. The problem is when I am turning and cutting across if they get in the way I could hit them. I never surf between the flags because that area is for swimmers. So if we respect them enough to stay away from them, they should stay away from us or keep out the way of us I believe.

What would happen if I was to hit one by accident? I could not see that I would be held responsible because I was surfing in area I was allowed to and they were not between the flags
