It seems alot of post's refer and imply that Religion has no place in the Government based on the Constitution. However, the Constitution protects the right to Religion as is specifies the Government cannot interfere with Religion or our right to practice what we want. It does not specify that Religion cannot be part of the Government. There seems to be some confusion.

I'm asking because I see so many references to Bush as a criminal for ignoring the Constitution and forcing the Patriot Act (which was voted on 3 times since 2001) upon the American people. In fact, in 2001, one US Senator voted against it's passage, in 2006, ten voted against it's passage, but not Obama. Is he a criminal too?
