  • Did Slave masters' wives accept..?

Did slave masters's wives accept the fact that their husbands were having sexual relations with slaves during that era? I know it was a common price, but how did the wives react?

In the movie "Alex Haley's Queen" a white woman is quoted by saying "If it were not for the slave girls, we women would have to summit to our husbands when ever they feel" Was this quote the mindset of all slave masters' wives?

  • Are Blacks really "African"American or are we really Multiracial?!?

I'm an American...Obviously, and I was wondering, how many Black people call themselves: African-American, because they have proof of their great grandparent or great-great grandparent, came directly from Africa? Or how many call themselves "African-American" to either please the person next to them or because they feel that it is easier to conform to what other people are telling them?

I'm multiracial and I've always identified myself as such ever since I was a small child. (I'm proud to be a mix-up and I identify with all of the cultures that make me)

    Bonus:

Tell me why YOU call your self African-American

    Or

why YOU call your self Multiracial

  • Good hair vs. Bad hair: Your perspective?

I grew up in a all African-American community, went to a all AA grade school, and was never aware of "good hair vs. bad hair" until someone said to my face "You have that 'good hair' "

What is good hair vs bad hair in "your" perspective, and do you believe in the whole good hair bad hair theory?

Bonus question: Why do some folk always associate their hair with their ethnicity? (for example: "I have good hair because of my "Indian" or white ancestry)
