  • What behaviors in Aspergers/HFA kids/adults make you ask,"Now WHY does this happen?!"?

If you are the parent of a child or adult with Aspergers, High Functioning Autism, maybe a younger child with PDD (higher functioning), or an educator, spouse/sig other, friend, co-worker, sibling, or whatever... I need your help! Do you find yourself interacting with him/her, and think, "Why in the HECK does s/he do that?! I just don't GET it?!" or "How can s/he be 'so smart' but this simple thing is so hard for him/her?" THOSE are the questions I need. This is NOT about kids/adults who have a dual diagnosis with neurological damage... These are behaviors that you think are attributed to their Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I'm preparing for the re-launch of my newly re-formatted radio show on BlogTalkRadio, and I need some questions to kick it off. I'm addressing topics in 4 age groups, or "decades of life": up to 10, 11-20, 21-30, and 31-40, so if your Aspie is little or grown, either way is fine! (Or if YOU are the aspie, that is cool, too!) Aspergers is something that is simple to me in part... It's Figuring out what is confusing that is hard for me!

Since this posted question is asking for questions to use on the show, please don't respond if this isn't ok with you! (If you have a question you want me to answer, then "ask a question" and link to it in your response to this, and I'll go to your question to answer, if I can!) I'll withold any personal information, other than demographics, and I'll try to post when the show is, or your can visit my show on Blog Talk Radio to see when I schedule it for. (Likely, next week some time, but I'm not sure.) There are actually likely to be 4 different shows for each decade of life... I'm turning 40 and I guess this is how I'm celebrating this milestone birthday! Lol...!

If you go to the Blog Talk Radio site and search ''autism'' it's likely to be one of the first you see. It's listed with the new name (Aspie Friendly), but has the old format (show name: A Panoptic Life). You will be able to easily see when I have a new show is scheduled.

Thanks for your help and maybe I'll be talking to you soon!!!
