  • How to outsource credit card processing/customer service to an independent contractor without getting burned?

Is there a way for me to outsource a voice/email customer service/order taking job to an independent contractor in the Philippines, have them take the customers credit card number over the phone, process the card and complete the paperwork without them being able to steal the information or get them bonded with an employee honesty bond? Anybody doing this currently?? If so, please share your resources. Thanks : )

  • Why don't P.P.O. high deductible health insurance providers give you better upfront cost information?

If you have an H.S.A. and your H.D.H.I. does not pay out until you burn through a deductible close to your annual contribution it would seem logical that they would want you spend less than the deductible. (i.e., they get to pocket the premium less admin expenses if the claim amounts do not go beyond the annual deductible) In order to do this they need to allow the people they insure to have a better way of shopping around for processes and procedures. My provider Aetna was hopeless in providing an accurate quote for a procedure (off by $600) and told me the only way the could give accurate information was to provide them with an estimate from the health care provider and they would get back to me in a couple weeks with a price. Unfortunately I could not wait two weeks to get an accurate quote along with the quotes of other health care providers to comparison shop based on price and compare these to outcome rankings that you find all over the internet. Is there anyone who does a better job? Also, as I can go with anyone I want for my H.S.A. account who gives the best bang for the buck on interest and services.
