My OPT 17-month extension (STEM) is pending with the USCIS. My last EAD expired on 11/04, and I made sure my application was sent prior to that date. I have received the receipt notice (I-797) from the USCIS. Am I allowed to leave (and re-enter) the US with my expired OPT?

I have heard of mybike.com with monthly rentals, but they do not have a choice of bikes. I do not mind if the bikes are used, I just don't want to make a long-term investment on a bike yet...

I have not driven my car for 4 months, since I moved to a new city and left the car in my sisters parking lot. The registration expired 2 months ago. Insurance (liability) is about to expire as well. I plan to either sell the car or junk it. Do I need to bother with insurance and registration renewal?

Mainly I need to tone up. I am female, fairly active. I workout, do some strength training 2 times a week and cardio 2-3 times a week. Eat about 1500 calories a day. I am still gaining weight. What do I do?

Has anyone tried to apply for a visa to enter the Czech Republic at the embassy in NY? I am trying to figure out the best way to go about it, and estimate how long it will take me. Preferably people who have applied in 2008, after the Czech Republic became part of the Schengen agreement.

Not all in one calendar year, but if Rafa wins the US Open 08 and Aus Open 09, he'll go down in the history books! Maybe he will also win the Davis Cup in between. What does everybody think? Can Djokovic deny him the USO? I'm already excited about the prospect of a Nadal-Djokovic final, now that they are finally on opposite sides of the draw!

Can anyone recommend a built-in C/C++ (Unix) random number generator? It needs to have a really high period (I'm taking billions) and will eventually be used to generate poisson random numbers.

I'm trying to pick between drand48() and random(). Are there any 64-bit random number generators in the standard libraries?

I have a long white paint mark on the plastic side moulding of the door of my black car. This happened when I scraped a pole, and its white paint rubbed off on my moulding. It is not too noticable (about 1/2" thick) but I want to get rid of it. Can I paint over it using a paint pen?

Does anyone know where I can order an entire set of used mouldings for cheap?

I just bought a guitar from guitar center. I am a complete novice, and broke the high E string while trying to tune it (duhh). The reason this has become a problem is that I was gifted a better guitar, and now I want to return this one to the store. Will they take it back with a broken string? Is it okay to change the string and return it? What would you guys do?

I have a 10-yr old Honda Civic coupe and I need to fix a dent on its door. It is not a very deep dent, but about 8" wide. My questions are as follows:

1) Autozone tried to pull it out with their suction cup, but that did not seem to work. Is there an alternative to taking it to the body shop?

2) The guy at Autozone said these things must be fixed asap or they dont pop out as easily. Is that true?

3) Is it complicated to get rid of the scratches above the tire next to the dent?

4) The plastic strip on the side of the door fell out when the car got dented. I have the intact strip, can I superglue it back?

Outlook says my .pst file is damaged. Its probably time to upgrade anyway. How do I backup/ make sure I dont delete all my old data, and will the new version of Outlook automatically recognize the archived emails?

Can anyone tell me the best place to sell my Centrino laptop? It is a very high quality laptop (1.6GHz centrino, 512MB, 60GB, DVD+CDRW, widescreen, wireless), and worked perfectly till the video card overheated. Apparently the easiest way to replace the video card is to replace the entire motherboard.

The computer is too good to just throw away. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do, or where I can sell it?

My MS Outlook says its missing the file outlook.pst, because of which it does not start. Is there anyway I can restore it without losing my saved data?
