How can one converse better, online so as to compensate for the lack of body language that plagues such chats?
I have this problem where I end up being more superficial and someone who "tries" more when chatting online (for instance, being overtly funny, witty etc.). Even if I already know the person offline. It gets worse when there is no contact offline however, for instance in long distance friendships and relationships. This even ends up affecting said relationships as I can't express myself as nicely as I can face-to-face. Help would be appreciated!
