How long does it take somebody who has broken out in acne after vitamin B12 injections to recover?
Two months ago, I received 'loading doses' of intravenous vitmain B12 spread over about 10 days. Shortly afterwards, I developed terrible acne.
I already had a susceptibility for adult acne (I am 34), but this is as bad as anything I had as a teenager. My face, scalp and back are full of poisonous sores and the situation appears to be getting worse as time passes.
My concern is that the B12 level is now so high as to make this a permanent problem. I was initially diagnosed as borderline B12 deficient (with a level of between 150 and 190 on various occasions), but doctors were dismissive of its significance since I am not vegan and do not have perncious anaemia. However, the injections were a vain attempt to rectify various symptoms for which no other cause could be found.
The B12 has been of no benefit to my original symptoms and now I also have the most horrendous skin to contend with, in spite of the fact that B12 is so often (mis)represented as being side-effect free. I am really hoping that there is some good news in this scenario...
2 AnswersSkin Conditions7 years agoIf I pay VAT on fittings for a new bathroom, should the company charge VAT again on the total bill?
I am buying a new bathroom suite. The company doing the work has charged me the VAT-inclusive price on the fittings from their catalogue. They are then adding VAT to the total cost of the bill. Shouldn't they be making a separate calculation for the VAT on their labour and adding only this to the bill? Otherwise, am I not paying VAT twice on the fittings?
5 AnswersUnited Kingdom8 years agoWhere can I buy the Dunluce variety of potato, preferably in Merseyside or Cheshire?
I discovered the Dunluce potato at a farmers' market in Liverpool city centre a few years ago. It was supplied by a stall run by a farmer from Warrington. The market soon closed and subsequently has been reinvented under various guises in the last couple of years, but the potato (and the farmer) have since proved elusive. All internet searches yield are information on where to buy the seeds and the fact that the Dunluce is of Irish origin (even this can't be agreed on, as one site claimed they were Scottish!).
The reason I am so keen to trace it is because the Dunluce covered itself in glory on the few occasions I used it. Despite being described as a waxy salad potato, it produced the most sublime roast potatoes and chips and was right up there with the most versatile of spuds.
