2 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoOld motorbike running problem, will bump start but stalls?
I've just bought this bike from a guy in a little garage who does them up (it's 1978, Portuguese with a Zundapp engine) It all looks in pretty good order, my husband, who's a mechanic had a thorough go with it and everything was fine, it would start first time and ran smoothly, I had a couple of goes and didn't have any trouble at all. So, he's gone back to England for a while and this is my only form of transport. I started it this morning (which I did on the kick-start, no choke, it's warm in Portugal at the moment) I got as far as changing gear and it totally lost power and stalled.
I haven't been able to start it on the kick start since, there is fuel (checked it from the fuel line) I cleaned out the two bits of the carb I could easily get to (nut on the bottom and screw in the side that has a tube with holes in it) under instruction from my husband (good old skype!)
So since it stalled I have been able to do the following, I can bump start it but it only runs while the bike is moving (under my power or rolling) as soon as it stops it stalls, likewise if I take it out of gear or pull in the clutch it stalls. I can do this over and over again and each time it will run. The bike feels like it's struggling but the engine sounds quite happy, when it stalls it doesn't splutter, just slows and stops. I have tried it with choke and without, pushing in first gear with clutch in and letting clutch out to bump start, rolling in neutral and knocking it into first to bump start, let it rest for four hours to make sure it wasn't flooded and still no joy.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoHELP!! HP L7580 printer won't print text boxes from Word 2007?
It seems to happen every now and then but not always which is the most confusing part!
If I draw a text box and put in a word or an image everything else on the page prints apart from what is in the text box. I have been printing off certain documents for months now and with no changes to the saved copy suddenly it isn't printing out the text boxes (or just the normal graphical boxes)
PLEASE help in any way you can as soon as possible, I'm at work and I'm desperate!!
2 AnswersPrinters1 decade agoDo motorcycle helmets need to be broken in (like shoes)?
I have just bought a new helmet which seemed to be fine but after an hour it started to make my head ache, is this just where it is new and needs wearing in? If it was too small I presume I would have felt it within minutes not an hour???
10 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoIs there any way to start Yahoo Go on the carousel?
I have an Orange SPV M600 Windows smart phone (don't know if that makes any difference)
I only have the option of starting it in the last widget or in whichever widget I want to pick but I'd rather start at the carousel or in my widgets so I can pick where I want to go (even home would be better as there are the snippets at least)
1 AnswerYahoo Go1 decade agoYahoo! Go on an Orange SPV M600 how do I get a message alert sound?
I am running the new Yahoo! Go 3.0, I have enabled push email and I want to get an alert sound when I get a new email, all I get at the moment is a little symbol is mail which means that I keep having to open it up to check.
This is a very specific problem although it may be the same on other windows smart phones, please don't reply if you don't have an spv or a windows phone.

4 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoPeculiar Fiat 500, 4 headlights, wide steel wheel arches, 4 cylinder engine and servo assisted brakes?
I have seen this car for sale in a scrap yard, it looks all original but I have never seen one with 4 headlights before. The wheel arches are wide (but definately manufactured that way) and it has wide steel wheels which look original. The engine is four cylinder (600cc) and in the engine bay there is a remote servo for the brakes.
Can anyone help me identify this model as I've never seen anything like it.
Thanks
6 AnswersFiat1 decade agoStrange shellfish on rocks in Portugal?
When I was on the atlantic coast of Portugal I saw a strange looking shellfish among the barnacles, limpets and mussels.
It looks like a small arm with snake-like skin and a claw-like bit at the end that look like shells all stacked up. They were also selling them at Nazare in the markets along with the other shellfish. The biggest ones were about an inch/ inch and a half long.
Has anyone got any idea what they are??
3 AnswersPortugal1 decade agocolourful chillis (colorful chilis) can I preserve them the same colour?
I've got loads of different varieties of chili plants that go through a range of colours (purple, orange, yellow, black, green, red) as far as I know they will all go red or green when ripe but if I pick them early and dry or pickle them will they keep the early colour or will they all eventually ripen to red/green.
Thanks chili-heads!!
