I love my wife and enjoy the conversations we have, but I have no male friends and find myself wanting "guy" conversation.

I live in the rural south, (where I have lived my entire life and which I love) where every conversation is pretty much confined to 4 subjects: hunting, football, God and the weather. My problem is that I don't like hunting or sports, I'm agnostic and you can only talk about the weather for so long.

Had an old compact fluorescent bulb fall off of a shelf and break on top of the washer where my 3 year old's clothes were washing. Tiny glass particles were visible under the washer lid, so I'm sure some got in with the clothes. Just read several articles about the mercury vapor and powder in these things and how toxic they are. Cleaned it up as best I could according to instructions I found on line, but not sure what to do about the clothes in the washer. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

Would genuinely like to hear from anyone who voted for Obama. What made you choose him? What influenced your decision? What did he accomplish in his first term that you liked and what do you hope to see done in his second term.

How do I make the image on my computer monitor fit the screen. I can't see all of my desktop or the scroll bar on web pages.

I know supply and demand is a factor, but that can't totally account for it.

Over the years, especially since 9-11, whenever there has been a terror attack thwarted or a terror cell disrupted in this country, or a major terror attack in the name of Islam in some other country, you may here Muslim leaders come out in defense of Islam but never against radical Islamic terror.

I have heard Imams blame America, I have heard many of them asking Americans not to paint all muslims as terrorist saying the vast majority of muslims in the world and this country are peace loving Americans.

But I have never heard a single one shout from the mountain tops using all form of media available that Muslims who kill in the name of Islam are evil and not only should they be stopped, but that all peacefull Muslims should turn in to the authorities anyone spouting such beliefs.

Obama has allowed combat troops in Iraq to be drawn down, as scheduled, to below 50,000 troops even though the last election did not produce a leader, and no government has been formed. Should he have postponed the draw down until a government was in place?

Theoretically, if all fire arms were banned, assuming you were apposed to this action, how could you, the average citizen realistically resist the government?

Starting next year, the current tax code is set to expire unless congress acts to extend it. That will result in the largest tax increase in the history of this country. Every tax bracket from lowest to highest will go up. Deductions for business expenses will be cut to almost nothing. And, that's just the tip of the ice burg. That doesn't include the tax increases hidden in the health care bill. Why is the media not covering this.

I have a two year old Gateway computer with windows vista. I tried to burn a movie to dvd and now it won't open the disk tray unless I restart the computer.

Also, the disk will play on my computer but not my dvd player. Whats up with that?

I've heard all kinds of discussion about how BP cut corners with safety and this caused the accident, but no one has given a specific technical reason for the failure of the blow out preventers.

I had a bit of a carb fire on my 88 chevy kodiac spreader truck. I tried to spin the engine to suck the fire out, but it just seamed to make it worse. To make a long story short, I ended up dumbing a bucket of water on the engine to put the fire out and got some (don't know how much) in the carburetor. What kind of damage can this do to the engine and what can I do about it.

Since gold is pretty much priced out of my range, would I do just as well to buy silver? Why has the price of silver not risen as fast as the price of gold?

There's so much hype surrounding gold sales. What kind of investment is it really? Would silver be a better investment?
