  • i need advice on what to do RE work collegue?

the woman i work along with has been off sick from work for 1 week, i did'nt know the reason why. I thought she maybe had the sickness bug that's going round just now. I received a message from her yesterday to tell me that's she'd had a miscarriage and would'nt be back until next week. Naturally i'm sad for her at the loss of her baby, i did'nt even know she was pregnant. Do i sent her a card to let her know i'm thinking of her? We're not really that close, but i feel that i have to do something to support her during this sad time. Help?

  • neighbour's dog messing in garden?

I have a problem with my neighbour's dog doing it's business in my garden. She lets it out unattended with no collar on and it just pleases it's self where it poops, namely in my front garden. I spent a lot of money last summer putting bark chips down and sorting out my flower beds and now it's a mess and i dont think i should pick it up as the dog is'nt well cared for so i dont know if it's had it's innoculations.. How do i approach the woman regarding this, she's got a name for herself for having arguments with other neighbours and threatening them, and that's the last thing i want as i have two small kids in the house. Could this be a matter for the police as this is classed as dog fowling?

  • consumer rights advise?

I purchased a second hand e-reader from a local sales and wants site thru facebook. When i picked item up, the seller showed me it switched on but that was it. When putting the e-books onto the e-reader the thing crashed and i cannot for the life of me get it to work or re-boot using the reset button. The books i put in are totally legit so they cant be corrupted files, my father has the same on his e-reader of a different make. I've contacted the seller asking for assistance and even my money back and she's basically not interested. Where do i stand with this as i bought this for my 9yr old daughter and she used all of her christmas money to buy it for her. I feel like my daughter has been robbed of her money and this other person is sitting with an easy £35 in her pocket

  • how do i explain about puberty?

Soon i'm going to have to do the "birds and the bees" talk with my daughter who's soon to be 9 yrs old. Just want to know what the best way to explain to her without freaking her out. My mother did'nt tell me when i was younger, i found out about periods and puberty from friends of the same age, so i want to make sure my daughter knows what's going to happen and that it comes from me, and not idle chit-chat and wrong information from girls in her class. like me, i think she's going to go thru puberty early, i can see her figure changing already. Any other mums got some good tips?

  • helping my children grieve with the death of our pet?

our beloved dog died suddenly last night and i need advise on how to help my two kids through the grieving process. My 6yr old has'nt got upset, even tho both children were there when he passed away and we let them say goodbye to him. My 8yr old understands what's happened and she got very upset, I've explained to my 6yr old about doggy heaven and the fact we wont see our dog again, but i dont know if it's sunk in. We've given both children lots of attention and cuddles and i've told them that i'll print off pictures of our dog so they can put them in their rooms.

How can i help my children deal with the loss of their pet that was in our lives for 4 years and they adored?

  • paying NI (uk) contributions?

i started back to employment in september after having a career break to have a family. Since then i've only had one payment come out of my monthly wage. My employer has my national insurance number, so why are'nt the payments being made every month? This goes towards my pension so it needs to have money going into it so i have a decent pension when i retire. if my employer does not take the money out, how do i make payments?

  • Am i developing a form of OCD?

for the past couple of months, before i leave the house i have to check to make sure i've locked the back door 4 or 5 times even when i KNOW i've locked it. I've even got half way up my road then had to turn back just to make sure. I've now started doing it with my front door. I dont do it with windows or lights, just the doors. There's not been any local break-ins, so it's not as if i'm worried about anyone getting into my house. They'd have a hard job, as there's two big dog sitting waiting for them! Am i developing OCD? Is this something i should go to my doctor about?

  • LG KU990 viewty lite battery problem?

i have a LG viewty lite that is almost 18 months old and have recently started to have problems when accessing facebook using the internet on the phone. I can be online for less than 5minutes and the phone switches it self off without warning even when the battery is fully charged. Do i need to purchase a new battery as there is nothing wrong with the actual handset. I know going onto the internet on your phone can deplete the battery quite quickly, but not in a few minutes!

Anyone with this model of phone have any similar problems?

ok, it's the 10 year anniversary of my brother passing away on 13/01/2011 and i want to write a poem as a memorial to go into my local paper. I just dont know where to start. I want it to be reasonably short and obviously it has to rhyme. His name was James and he passed away unexpectedly. I've got the start of the poem, but dont know where to go from there. It starts as:

10 years ago, our lives were torn apart

losing you simply broke out hearts.......

  • why is my hubby being so grumpy towards me?

My other half totally blew his top with me today over nothing, he was that bad i actually told him to walk home from the supermarket we were at as i did'nt want him in my car with the kids. He seems to lose his rag very easily just now, i dont do anything to provoke him, we have no money or work worries. I ask him about it and he always says "i'm fine" when i know he's not. What am i doing wrong as he's always snapping at me or wanting an argument?
